Yes i got request for NSE to submit mybankstatement certificate but my sponsor bank (Standard Chartered) which had the major fund is not on the mybankstatement platform.

What i did was to get another printed copy of the statement showing transaction for 1 year and got the bank to stamp all the pages and was able to convince the bank to send the statement via courier to the Canadian embassy in Lagos and quote my applicaton and UCI no on the waybill.

So i uploaded a one page letter of explanation ( notifying the VO that Standard Chartered is not on mybankstatement platform) reason this was sent by courier. + uploaded the waybill tracking sheet (UPS) + stamped soft copy of that same bank statement +mybank statement certificate ( for my own salary account - Stanbic IBTC) and submitted.

That was the initiative i took.
Did you do upfront medicals
Which date did you receive the nse request and how many days did you use to submit it

Hello guys,

Pls any ideas how this application can be re-submit red based on gcms notes?

Hello Willbeck,

From the GCMS notes, which seems vague & generic, the VO may either be concerned with your proposed course of study or the documentation of information delineating your study intent in your letter.

If you'd already gone for a program that demonstrates progression and relates to either your previous study or work experience, then you should probably fix up your letter to solidly reflect how your situation have changed simultaneously addressing the VO's concerns.

You should also want to explain how your current level of establishment has improved. Give strong reference to your economic investment(s) and/or current place of work. Talk about how lucrative your job is and the possible prospect that working there would bring or has brought.

If the reasons for refusal is in four point based, for clarity purpose, you may want to use the SOP to explain your study intent and the LOE to address the VO's concerns.

All the best

Thank you so much @frankrobbn1, this is very helpful. I will take this option for my peace of mind.

@ JustMellow definitely addressed some concerns too. Thanks a bunch, you guys rock!!!

Just one more question, how will I know the responsible immigration office handling my application? Thanks in advance.

And YES! It's gotta end in praise...

The primary immigration office responsible for most temporary resident visa applications from Nigeria is NAIRAOBI... You can contact them through this medium IRCC WEBFORM NAIRAOBI.

Thanks @ JustMellow for the response. I'm a bit confused though, biko no vex, help clarify.

What I mean is, the part of the application form that says have you taken a language test from an authorised blablabla (Yes/No) I ticked No oh. In my first application of September 28th that was refused and in the second one that I submitted on 29th October for which I had already received update that I passed Medical exam on Nov. 20th. I was expecting BVL then Approval and NSE came on Dec. 1st. This GT in question was done since last year September, won't it be termed as inconsistent info? You know the way these pple don't seem to trust applicants, I wanna be sure there won't be any issue of contradiction.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from now? Please advise.

Hello TeeMade,

There is no issues here or anything like inconsistent info. You're on the right track. Besides, you don't have to send the MBS via webform. There is a placeholder or column already created by IRCC for upload in your Gckey online account.

Anyone to answer please??

Yemmymo:
Hello everyone,

Please I'd like to know if university of Regina is good to apply for marketing with science majors (O level was in sciences)? I've had about 4 years experience working in internet marketing space and I want to take up a Bsc in marketing. My waec was done in 2012, got into a Uni but didn't get a certificate at the end of my 4 years (story for another day) so in short, I haven't had a post secondary school education.

Again, after getting admission and when applying for visa, does statement of account for POF and the one for school fees needs to be submitted separately?

What are my chances of getting my visa approved anyways?

Hello people,

@justmellow
@frankbonn
@lekkiboboe
For those that have made travel plans, Is it true that IRCC now requires that we show proof of funds at the point of entry? Please see the information in the screenshot below from UBC, looks like we have to provide the banks statement that we used to apply and a new one, how true is this?
I also saw similar information on IRCC(second snapshot) but IRCC just says “you must show proof of funds” they did not request for 30days statement or any specifics. My question is : will it be sufficient to show them the same bank stmt that i submitted when i applied?

Hello Jpepper,

Best to my knowledge and checking with those that landed at Pearson International Airport, Toronto some couple of weeks back, POF nor the ArriveCAN form wasn't requested. This maybe due to the discretion of the CBSA at the POE.

However, IRCC have always advise international students to have things like the LOA, Tuition Receipt, POF, PP and any supporting documents in an easy accessible bag just in case its requested at the POE.

Its up to the CBSA at POE to request for it or not depending on their suspiciousness and/or curiosity.

Some students during landing only got a pleasant smile followed by a welcome after briefly presenting their PP and/or LOA if requested at the POE.

None of the persons I know showed POF and they were granted entry. If it would make you relax well while you fly, you may want to pack your POF along.

All the best

No problem Debby, its fine, feel free to ask any question.

My eligibiity started around Dec 2 or so after they started review of addtional document i submitted and this review started Nov 30( the NSE required documents)

Since they sent you NSE request without medicals on file, hopefully you get medical request asap after you submit your IELTS.
