Ogbonia is an heavy weight in Apc but the Governor can still faction out something because before he joined Apc there was an agreement

Edo has always been a PDP state until Oshiomole

Even with Oshiomole, Edolites kept voting PDP. It may interest you to know that PDP took 2 out of 3 senatorial seats in Edo. PDP won all presidential elections in Edo even as an APC state.

So it was very easy for Obaseki to return the state to where they belong by joining PDP after APC dealt with him.


In the case of Ebonyi, there was no problem party wise, Umahi long throat and ambition took him to APC, forgetting that his region has been ridiculed by this same APC. A party that sidelines his people and the President bent on implementing different policy for those that gave him 97℅ vs those that gave him 5℅.

APC cannot be sold by force like Umahi is doing. He is on personal political crash-land.

Those that rejected joining him knows such move is a political suicide as the citizens will NEVER vote APC
