550s are very rare, even in the US.
Mercedes probably feels it is underselling the M278 turbo package and finds it more profitable to offer that performance level on an AMG tab
As for the decision to switch. I'd pick performance over looks everyday of the week. The friend who did the procuring for me thought I was crazy for looking for a 2014 ml550 when I could buy the more modern and better looking 2016 GLE350 for about the same price with a larger pool to pick from. but guess what? he saw the light when he got behind the wheel. Even the guy who drove the car from TX to NC was in awe.
I was really tempted to go the GLE route after over a month of tiring search . . . cargurus, cars.com, carfax etc. you name it (though my search was harder because there were very specific features I was looking for). but now, I'm happy I stuck it out

so instead of settling for a V6 , I'll be making a few mods to the interior and exterior, that way I enjoy the updated looks and keep the V8 performance without spending AMG money.

we need to get off the mpg scare and just enjoy cars for what they are. . . your average naija car dealer will tell you the 550 is a bad choice.

I noticed non of the inner lights on my benz c230 2006 do come on even when the doors are opened at night unless you press the buttons; and the headlamps don't turn on 'full' when it's set to auto, you've to toggle it on manually. I read it's sensor issue or so I think and that it's same sensor controls the wiper too but the wiper blades work automatically when rain drops on it.

Is there any guide where I can easily fix this around Ikeja or anywhere on the mainland without trial and error?
I'm yet to tell my mechanic this though.

It seems your interior light is switch off, check your owners manual on how to turn it back on

I love this, I don't know why people are particularly about MPG in bebz not that it is bad afterall... The ML doesn't consume much fuel... Having driven a C class and driving ML, I don't see much fuel consumption and also when buying or driving a Benz , I think most owners are for performance and driveability not MPG... I think if one need the best mpg, they should go for a 2 stroke engine or picanto or that small benz A160, my neighbor drives that.... That benz looks funny to me

I bought a Benz because I wanted a comfortable, good looking car with a V8 or supercharged V6 for under 7m.

It was either an E550, a 2015 Charger RT, a 2012 Audi A6 or S4, or an Infiniti M56. I buy my cars based on what suit my needs, not because of the country the company is from.

I still have my Infiniti. It's still a great fuckin' car. You can't buy a Corolla an expect it to blow your mind. It's a Corolla at the end of the day. Buy a 2013 GS350 and see if you still have that opinion.
