Warner Media is bringing the fire to the streaming war

All Warner Bros movies releasing in 2021 will debut on HBO Max in America on the same day it hits theaters at no extra cost starting with WW84 this month.

All WB's 2021 movies like Suicide Squad, Dune, Matrix 4, Godzilla vs Kong...the entire fvcking slate, they will release on HBO Max on the same day as theaters and will stay 30 days on HBO Max before going PVOD and back again on HBO Max....only in America oo. The rest of the world go manage theater release only.

This is a major game changer in the streaming war.

I wanna see how Disney reacts to this...

2021 will be different

The downside to this is that independent movie theaters in America will be affected
AMC theaters stock literally crashed as soon as the news broke.
This move will be the death of movie theaters in America, imagine Disney adopting this strategy for MCU titles next year...i feel for movie theaters that will be affected. Studio like Warner Bros doesn't give a damn

The vibes you get seeing a blockbuster movie in a theatre can't be getting anywhere..... Sooner or later the coro thing will become a thing of the past and normalcy will be restored. Cinema houses will still get back their glory days.

USA is the worst hit country by corona, that is why it is the only country with HBO Max special offer. Other countries will have to see WB movies in theaters.

And for corona becoming a thing of the past soon, it is going to take at least another year in USA cuz vaccinating at least 200 million people is not something that can be done in a few months in USA.

I would say normalcy will start returning in US by late 2021.

This is a country that still gets thousands of new cases every single day
