I Think I Have Been Scammed by Ivinefeet: 5:22pm On Dec 08, 2020
I delivered some items to this woman yesterday afternoon at her place of residence. She promised to send the money to my account because right there the network was bad according to her. I know I shouldn't have trusted her but I thought I know her address, she can't do anything stupid. Throughout yesterday, I didn't receive any money.

Called her early this morning to remind her she is yet to do as promised and she said no problem. After about 2 hours, I sent her a chat on WhatsApp that I need my money immediately as I was done waiting. She told me she had transferred the money and I should stop disturbing her.

I checked my account balance and found out the money had not entered, I sent the screenshot to her and called her letting her know that it hasn't entered. She asked me to wait, saying it's the network.

I asked for proof and she said sent me a message that looked like it was typed, I told her to send instead a screenshot of the debit alert, she said she had deleted it.. how do you delete a proof, I don't know.

I waited until evening and told her, I am yet to receive the money and usually, it shouldn't take this long to receive alert except there is something wrong. She said I was disturbing her for ordinary 10k.

I told her to call her account handler to confirm if the transfer actually went through, she obviously did not.

Right now, she is insisting she has sent the money while I am yet to receive. I told her I want my goods back and she said it's impossible because she has paid even though the money is yet to reflect in my account.

Please what should I do, Should I continue to wait?. kindly assist.

Please anyone who knows her should please tell her to pay me my money or return my goods.

Thank you

Go around her residential address to verify if she's still there, if yes, take police men to the place ....

10k isn't a small amount at all....

Is that why you have to put her face on social media because of an incident that occurred just yesterday afternoon, according to you?

Seek a resolution maturely first before involving the whole world.

I really would not have gone this far if not for her attitude towards the whole thing. She seems less concerned.

I have pleaded with her, done that many times on phone. It got to a point, she started cutting my call. What else do you want me to do

It’s too early to call her out since the whole business happened yesterday.

You should know very well that online banking fails most time and putting pressure on her will definitely piss her off.

I don’t know how big 10k is to you but on a business angle,
Always take it easy with your customers

Undeniably true

If you are familiar with online transfer, most times you will be debited and the other party will not be credited.

It’s either the transaction reverses or will deliver much later some times more than 24hrs

According to her, op is calling nonstop so she is pissed.

Op knows her address so she can’t really go far with the money if it’s a scam ...

No sales interaction is about the first sale; focus on the next one always

Take her pic and address off social media. When troubles comes, Nairalanders won’t be there with You.

Things like this happens sometimes, but coming to share your clients private details on here in less than 24hrs. Shows You’re not a good person to do business with..

Leave matter, the fellow has every right to use all means to get his money.
Put the blame rather on the person that took his goods and supposedly paid. If the buyer had showed seriousness in proving she paid or making sure the seller got his money, the issue of putting face on internet will not surface.
This is the reason why you can never do business in trust in Nigeria. You pay me in full if you need my services or get lost. That is my policy via learning the hard way just as the Op.
I have had cause to transfer money to people for goods in which they did not get credited. I know the efforts I made as a genuine person to assure, call and make sure they had no doubt about my payments. I certainly wount start asking you how much the money is sef to warrant you bothering me.
The clients attitude caused it all.

She might have sent the money. This electronic banking wahala... Even with debit sms alert sometimes the money could hang for days before delivery. It could return back to her account later. Only if you can persuade her to enquire from her bank, the problem can be resolved.
Re: I Think I Have Been Scammed by brownemmanuel43(m): 10:32pm On Dec 09, 2020
People should not blame the seller abeg, the buyer is to be blamed here. Somebody trust u with his goods and u said u did a transfer, simply send the screenshot of your debit alert.
Aside that, their are other means u would hv used to send the money

I did a transaction with @Fizyalasdair, he first sent me 52,360, when I tried sending him what he paid for, the stuff did not go through, I was the one doing the calling and updating him, same night I had to go to the ATM to refund him his money bcs my transfer was not going through
When he got his money, he immediately called me. Later, I asked him if he still care for the stiff he said yes, then, I sent the stuff to him and he transfered to me.
I hv had many business transaction with nairalanders, @op u did well by posting her details here. It will serve as a lesson to other intending scammers
