No thanks to Enemies of this country who would resort to de-marketing Nigeria's image within the international comity for their own personal gain.

They upload horrible images of isolated cases of damaged religious houses (churches) and dead victims (sometimes even foreign fake unrelated ones) to make it as though the problem is widespread and overwhelming; with which they use to appeal to foreign groups and organisations for financial donations and assistance in order to rebuild alleged damaged churches and to help the so called victims - only to divert such donations to their pockets while ensuring continuous flow of these monies with more of their fake/exaggerated stories.

With the exception of Boko Haram, no objective minded person can honestly say the ongoing farmer/herdsmen crisis, banditry and kidnappings are religiously motivated; and therefore conclude that these or any other constitute religious persecution (of Christians) in this country.

You make sense. Christians love to be portrayed the victims. Christian religion has been used as a tool to achieve their goals and many Nigerian Christians fall for it. Same thing china did in Kenya.

Chinese that have very low Christian percentage in china are promoting Christianity in Africa whilst chinese government siphon africa resources.

History is repeating itself.

They(British and French) gave africans bible and took their land. China is now doing the same thing by playing religious card and African Christians get emotional and sing praises of their lord Jesus while chinese rip them off of their resources.

These people are still living in the past. The mighty influence and hegemoney that you had in the past is rapidly diminishing and will soon become nonexistent. USA has one of the highest cases of homicides in the world, the highest number of covid-19 deaths in the world, the greatest number of mass shootings in the world and worst of all, they are seen as the greatest threat to world peace (I didn't make this up. A research was conducted on this).

And yet they are making different kinds of silly lists. If its not travel safety list, it's human rights violators' list. If it's not anti-religious list, it's state sponsors of terrorism list. Clownscheesycheesycheesy

America and Hypocrisy are like Bread and Butter.

Islamophobia in the United States

Islamophobia in the United States can be described as the affective distrust and hostility towards Muslims, Islam, and those perceived as following the religion and or appear as members of the religion and its associative groups. This social aversion and bias is facilitated and perpetuated by violent and uncivilized stereotypes portrayed in various forms of American media networks and political platforms that result in the marginalization, discrimination, and exclusion of the Muslims and Muslim perceived individuals. Media and politicians capitalize on public fear and distrust of Muslims through laws that target Muslims, while the media emphasizes Muslim religious extremism in association with violent activity.

Advocacy groups like Center for American Progress explain that this social phenomenon is not new, but rather, has increased its presence in American social and political discourse over the past ten to fifteen years. They cite that several organizations donate large amounts of money to create the "Islamophobia megaphone". CAP defines the megaphone analogy as "a tight network of anti- Muslim, anti- Islam foundations, misinformation experts, validators, grass root organizations, religious rights groups and their allies in the media and in politics" who work together to misrepresent Islam and Muslims in the United States.

As a result of this network, Islam is now one of the most stigmatized religions, with only 37 percent of Americans having a favorable opinion of Islam, according to a 2010 ABC News/ Washington Post poll.

This biased perception of Islam and Muslims manifests itself into the discrimination of racially perceived Muslims in the law and media, and is conceptually reinforced by the Islamophobia network.

A report from the University of California Berkeley and the Council on American–Islamic Relations estimated that $206 million was funded to 33 groups whose primary purpose was "to promote prejudice against, or hatred of, Islam and Muslims" in the United States between 2008 and 2013, with a total of 74 groups contributing to Islamophobia in the United States during that period. This has been referred to as the "Islamophobia industry" by scholars Nathan Lean and John Esposito.

But the same america added Burma that is currently persecuting muslim minorities to the list?

Nonsense. Any traditionalist that engages in human sacrifice is an enemy of traditional and culture. You think only Christianity preaches morality? You are big fat idiot.

The United States Government has added Nigeria to its blacklist as one of the countries that have engaged in “severe violations of religious freedom.”

The Trump administration had in December 2019, added Nigeria to a Special Watch List of countries tolerating violent crimes against religious freedom.

Today, the United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, had announced that Nigeria has been added to the "blacklist" on violations against religious freedom.

So true. I couldn't find where attend church in one area of Kano. I was told that the Christians in the area were seriously warned to desist from anything fellowship; that they should go to Sabon Gari if they need to do church.
The christian women were even veiling and hidjabing to avoid persecution.

This was never about christains. a 13 years old boy is awaiting prison sentence in the North for blasphemy, another musician is awaiting death sentence all for not believing in their Allah.
As a matter of fact we christains are the worst, you treat traditional worshipers like criminals, no sorry you tag them criminals simply because they worship the deity that has protected their ancestors for generations
It is okay for christains disturb the streets with "Sacrifice of Praise" but a traditional worshipers are beaten and arrested for carrying sacrifice.
Its okay for you to pray to God for wealth, but any attempt by a traditional worshiper to do the same is blood money.
Its okay for Christains to wear rosery, carry hanky given to them by their pastors.but a traditional worshiper carrys what he is given to him from his place of worship and you all call him a criminal and call for his arrest.
NOTE: I AM A CHRISTAIN.... I AM JUST A VERY RATIONAL ONE
You're right here.
