Pls guys, are bicycles allowed in buses?

For bicycles, is advisable you take your mind off when getting on the buses except you want to keep trying your luck. Most Buses are always busy and mind you, Buggy users get on buses mostly and also you need to consider if any Wheelchair users will be getting on the bus at any stop because they will need to get you off from the bus. On train, you need to follow the cycle policy by not travelling with unfolded bikes during peak hours.

Good evening Everyone.

Please I am in a bit of an unfortunate situation and will need help from anybody.
My international passport got lost upon my arrival into the UK and its been hell for me ever since. I have tried looking for it to no avail.
I have made efforts to get a replacement from the Nigeria High Commission UK but thats been a story on its own.
Please if anybody can help me with any contact in Nigeria High commission so I can get an appointment ( I have paid for replacement of lost passport and I'm told to wait 3 weeks to get a date)
I don't have 3 weeks to wait, I haven't been able to get my BRP card because of this and even open an account and other things.

Please no insults. The pain and guilt I'm having is enough, I'm depressed already.

Kindly help a sister. My Job is at stake too.

Thank you.

If I get USD instead of GBP, will I be able will I be able to spend or convert it overthere ? I don’t want to be stranded

Hi house.

I have bn granted a tier 4 visa, resuming in January. My question now is how easy is it for me to get ILR visa and what are the necessary steps to take incase i don't find a job that's willing to sponsor my stay.

You haven’t even started the tier 4, you’re already thinking of ILR that will take 10 years on that tier 4 grin

I like how goal-oriented you are grin

Sorry to hear about the sad situation... I’m assuming you’ve reported this to the nearest police station so as to get a case reference number and a receipt so you can use it as additional evidence when you contact Home office for you BRP card. W

I think you can go to the Nigeria High Commission and pay £100 fr same day appointment. I do not know if this is also applicable to lost passports but it is worth going there and making your case. Also go with copies of the missing passport and a police report.
Do not be surprised if they do not answer your call.
All the best.

Good morning all.

To whoever it may concern.

So, if you are a tier 2 visa holder and your passport is about to expire/expired and you are in the process of extending your tier 2 visa, the UKVI WILL NOT penalize you or refuse your application. The UKVI is currently aware of the difficulty to renew passports due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic.

I know this because I contacted them via email and phone call and they responded promptly.

Cheers.

Hello all,
My account was closed with no notice by Royal bank of Scotland and they are saying it can take up to 60days to get my funds out.

1. Has anyone experienced something like this before and would it really take 60days?

2. What could have prompted this? And what other banks are safer to use, please ?

1. I have not experienced this.
2. (a) I’m 100% sure your bank will tell you EXACTLY what prompted it. Give them a ring.

2. (b) All banks recognised by the FCA are good to use - thus includes #ChallengerBanks
(Monzo, Starling, etc...)

Now let me hop off before Erico2k2 comes for me.

More to this story..... Banks does not shut an account for no reason.......

- What type of account did you open?
- How was your account operated?
- How was cash flowing through your account?
- Any suspicious activities?
- Identity crises
Etc etc etc

Get a credit report, hopefully they have updated it.... Other banks would negatively view this closure, as a red flag....... Best to resolve it, before you move on, or attempt to move on..... Your new bank too can close your new account (when they eventually find out) ......

Yes I experienced this although many years ago .... my first account was HSBC, and I kind of switched to Halifax as my main account but left some money in HSBC and pretty much forgot about that account

Monthly or even a year later tried to access HSBC and couldnt, called and was told the account was closed but they didnt give me concrete reason (said they randomly close some account excuse ).... Also i wasnt notified but they claimed they sent a letter to my address that i used to open the account .

Eventually got the money there as a cheque but it took ages. Till today wasnt sure why it was closed so dont know if it due to lack of activity . Is that even a valid reason. . I since opened like 3 old gen bank accounts seamlessly but never went back to HSBC

Tell us the full story, bank won’t just wake up suddenly to start closing people’s account for no reason ...
usually they block your account if you’ve made unusual expenses and until you verify that it’s you making that purchase or transaction they’ll unblock it.
However if you’ve deliberately used your account to perpetrate fraudulent activities, then Alas your account would be closed and the said proceeds of fraud forfeited...

If you’ve truly spoken with the bank, they’ll tell you why your account was closed. I’m sure you know why lipsrsealed

Banks are generally crazy in this country, they can decide to close your account without giving a valid reason. Most of the time they rely on automated alerts which could trigger the closure.
This is how they coined computer says No.

Only people i know that have their account closed were people who used the account to receive or send fraud money. .......
Your account cannot be closed for no reason without any explanation to the fact.....
