Please Have anyone flown through Turkish airline before?
how was the experience?
I heard there are long layovers?
I am about to book a flight and Turkish airline seems to be on a cheaper side but I heard bad reviews. can anyone confirm this here?
Bad reviews for Turkish Airlines? Asides the layovers which is common for almost all airlines, it's one of the best.

[quote author=Therealbrizzy post=97051676]Hi guys, today is the happiest day of my life since boko haram killed my lieutenant immediate brother died in November 2017. I have a whole lot of scars from life’s battles.

Visa approved
Deficit; $18,777
ICS and Room Waiver; $5,000
Location; Abuja.

My appointment was for 7:30 but I got there at 6am. They did the routine documents verification and biometrics. We were all marched to the interview location. Two VO’s, a black man in his 40s and the other white guy in his early 40s I guess. Was praying in my mind, God please I don’t want to face this black man, him face too strong. so my God and destiny ushered me to the white guy.

VO; good morning
Me; good morning, I’ll like to let you know that I stammer before we proceed
VO; oh! That’s fine, I also take a lot of time
Me; smiled, praying my village people don’t finish me with stammering cuz I was so nervous
VO; pass me your documents
Me; passed my passport, I-20 and ds-160 confirmation
VO; what are you going to do in the US
Me; I’m going to western Illinois University in the rural community of Macomb to pursue a masters of science degree in biology. He pretended he wasn’t listening, so I followed my instinct and continue talking. I’m going to focus on animal behavior
VO; focus on what?
Me; Animal behavior. It’s a branch in biology.
VO; wow that’s nice, why animal behavior?
Me; I’m passionate about animals and I always want to be involved in whatever have to do with caring and protecting animals. I’ve been to the National park here and also at the University of Ibadan zoo, there’s no single animal behaviorist and this is why I want to do this so I’m hoping to come back to my country and help conserve and protect our fast depleting natural resources and help protect our most vulnerable and endangered species for present and future generation.
VO; nods his head and ask, what does your dad do?
Me; he’s a retired soldier. Retired as a major in 2014
VO; what does he do now?
Me; He’s into grassroots politics
VO; what about your mom?
Me; she’s a business woman, she sells and transport kolanut all over the country
VO; coconut?
Me; kolanut
VO; oh! Yes I know kolanut , who’s sponsoring you?
Me; my aunty
VO; what does she do?
Me; she import and distribute top quality building materials and roofing sheets, she’s also into real estate
VO, types for about 20 seconds and said to me, you don’t sound like you stammer but you talk pretty fast
Me; I smiled like Sallah Ram and was saying to myself, God abeg! God abeg, make this man keep my passport, I no need am today
VO, stretches his hand to the most beautiful white paper I ever seen in my 31 years on earth and told me to enjoy my stay in the US.

My observation, these guys are human being like us and very friendly. I really do not know why people put fear on other people’s body and give all sort of scary feedbacks after their interview. Please guys, just be calm and make sure you prepare well for all the possible questions. If God can do it for me, then I’m sure you’re the next person to give testimony. I made a promise to myself to post the white paper for people to see if I get the visa and I’ll do it. I hope this transcripts has motivated someone to go confidently and grab his/her own visa. May God bless and protect us all.

I was denied on Wednesday last week.
Mailed them on Thursday morning and their decision was reversed and my request was approved.

Hello @fairheart, I just joined naira land because of this platform. All of your advice has been quite helpful, but my visa got denied on Nov 6th. I truly didn’t impress the VO cos, my chest got heavy as he asked the questions and all I could do was only answer with a word or a sentence. I studied hard for that interview, Buh I guess that wasn’t my time. I tried scheduling another emergency interview Buh got refused on the condition that if a person has been denied once, they can’t schedule another interview until after 6months.
Luckily for me, my fiancée was going through their website of recent and saw January 13 opened for interview, so he instantly called me to pay for my visa fee and now I’d be having another interview on the 13th of January. Please I need your help. I wouldn’t mind having a mock interview as well so as to prepare better and overcome my fear. Please I don’t really know how naira land works, especially knowing if Anyone has replied me or not. Probably I get a notification or something. Thanks in anticipation of your replies

Hi, whats the email address you sent the email to, and what were the contents of your email?

ConsularAbuja@state.gov

Well, my case is somehow shaa. I was denied emergency request in October for failure to upload SEVIS fee and was subsequently denied in December for no reason.
So, I mailed them via consularAbuja@state.gov pleading with them to reconsider my emergency request that this is the second time my request is being denied and that my appointment was rescheduled by the Consulate Office, Lagos from December 11th to January 15th which was I paid another VISA fee to enable me get appointment before my program start date on 13th January, but it seems my hope of getting an appointment with the Embassy before my program start has been dashed again by the mail I received notifying me of the denial of my emergency request, that I plead with the Embassy to reconsider its decision and approve my emergency request.

After 4hrs of sending them the mail, I received a mail from them that my emergency request has been approved that I can login to reschedule an appointment.

That was all.
