So, if I may ask, where are these applicants supposed to carry out their agro business after the training?
The Lagos State I know is congested with houses. No one will choose agriculture in his empty plot against building an office complex or residential storey building on it. Knowing that real estate is the next thing after crude oil in lagos.

Have u been to Agbowa, ikosi, imota all the way to epe.....u will see that there r thousands of hectares of land that r yet to be cultivated

Don't mind them. They will soon change that policy when they find out (like in previous efforts of this kind), that many 'youths' are not interested in these sorts of programs and therefore won't bother applying. It should he open to all interested parties irrespective of age if it will be effective.

But Lagos did that with Kebbi the other time.

Moreso Lagos is also building Imota rice mill if I’m not wrong and they should be able to collaborate with Ogun state with rice plantation for example.

I’m pretty sure there will be other aspect of agricultural collaboration that the government will be working on that I have no knowledge about.
And what was the result? When last did you see LAKE rice in the market? How many youth wants to stay on the farm these days? Continue to deceive yourself.

Govt is just like biz. Liaise with another state to get hectares of land so we can farm. Business development for both states

Do you know that Lagos has lands in other states already purchased during the time of BRF and Ambode?

There are so many collaborations like that going on, already started or in the works, but obviously many people here are not aware of such going by the kind of questions we see on this thread. Such stories are not popular amongst us sadly

There are a lot of people applying. Stay there and be pessimistic. People who wish to apply are already making efforts and asking for more information about this, while the rest of us stay online with our disbelief and pessimism

The heightened level of pessimism in this country should be eschewed at all cost. Let us all be positive at this time. If they don’t do, we complain they aren’t doing enough. If you are interested, kindly apply.

However, in aligning myself with some opinions here, why didn’t they just put this thing online? Was the rationale behind going to physical offices? I hope this changes in the nearest future.

Please if you know someone in the previous aforementioned batches, kindly share the experiences. I expected some testimonies from them.

Is this training just pure training or with funding? Some level of funding will cement the impact of knowledge gained.

Thanks in advance.

Dear all, don't believe everything you read.
You should ask those who have gone for the training earlier in this year what the outcome has been 8-Months & 2 weeks after?

Some streams of the Batch 4 Agric-Yes scheme are yet to be empowered, talk less of the Batch 1 of the LAP/ Agric-Yes Stream... Note these are different sets

Its funny how the Govt of the Nation both at Federal and state level could be sleeping on a bed of lies..

Locating an appropriate example is a cheap way to solving any problem.

If you are wise, go there, get the knowledge, get out practise and go focus on starting your own thing.

Had an engagement with the Commissioner last week, and sigh... Government is not sincere.

Just be wise and have your own plans..

Good evening house.
Please, I am seeking advice on the kind of questions one should prepare for, for this Lagos State Agripreneurship Programme. Will the aptitude test be culled from GMAT and the like?

I believe they must have completed the exams stage by now. Any development yet? Have they been calling the successful applicants for interview?
Re: Lagos Begins Recruitment For Agripreneurship Programme by DeeDGenius: 11:34am On Jul 19, 2021
I went to collect the paper form late 2020, was shortlisted for the aptitude test.

I received a message in February to attend the one month training (batch 5) and I manage make top 10 for my value chain.

There was a sensitization exercise on Saturday, 17th of this month.

Beneficiaries were drawn from LAP Batches 1-7 and a few from AGRIC-YES for empowerment.

I am not a politician but I am a beneficiary, let's stop being pessimistic. I made a decision to collect the form even after reading the posts on this thread(I got the form on the last day of registration).

I thought I should share this to serve as evidence.
Re: Lagos Begins Recruitment For Agripreneurship Programme by DeeDGenius: 11:39am On Jul 19, 2021
For the aquaculture value chain, beneficiaries are to get

700 juveniles, 25 bags of feeds, medications and extension services plus they've been allocated ponds

The poultry value chain beneficiaries are to get:

480 point of lay, 100 bags of feed, medications and extension services plus cages for the birds.

For poultry sha, you gats manage make top 10 o

60 poultry beneficiaries

Over 200 aquaculture beneficiaries.

Before you start saying it is small, estimate the cost and also consider the fact that the state is paying GIPP beneficiaries, constructing roads, etc
