Hello Everyone, I have been a silent reader. I was refused student visa last week. Reasons they gave are insufficient funds, no evidence for my previous immigration history in the UK (I lived in the uk for 5 years), no evidence of link to sponsor.

I applied for study visa with my spouse, as I am going for a PhD, however, they said insufficient funds. My previous UK immigration history, was that I came back to Nigeria when my leave to remain in the UK was refused, I indicated it in my application but I don’t have the evidence cause i left everything in the UK before coming back in 2018. I forgot to include my husband’s birth certificate. However, I intend to appeal it and include more supporting documents. There’s a place in the refusal letter that got me confused, it says;

I’m sure you’ll be able to use your Naira card cos of the $100 monthly limit, if you have a dorm account you can use the card for it. If you still have issues you can reach me and use my card I live pretty close to Burg Quay.

Thanks bro. I was able to use my first bank Visa multi currency card to pay for gnib. Bear in mind that the card only allows for 5 pos payments per day.

Guys i thought the embassy sends mails to applicant concerning the outcome of their application(Good or Bad regardless).

I just got a text message from a ups delivery guy saying he wants to deliver my passport. I've checked my mails ,no mails. I am unable to pick up the package today as i am unavailable.

Please does this mean i was denied??

Hi guys.

For those already working and or Studying in Ireland
what's the probability of getting a work visa or rather a job offer from Nigeria bearing in mind that the said job seeker has no Irish work experience

Moreso
how else can one migrate without going through the study route?

I'd appreciate a detailed and comprehensive response.
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Alday: 7:53pm On Dec 20, 2020
I guess the visa officer that assessed your application wanted to read a letter of application in which these reasons and explanation you gave would have been detailed.

I'd advise you contact banks like AIB on social media to give you specific answers on bank Giro. I didn't use a bank Giro during my appointment

Generalbong1:

Can you do this if you do not have an account opened yet?
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by obenjamin: 8:15pm On Dec 20, 2020
As a phd applicant you sholud have a higher chance of visa approval..
You need to address the basis of rejection one after the other.
1.Insufficient fund..read the detailed requirement for finance. The 7000 Euros requirement either in bond or ur in account and well explained....
2. Ur uk immigration evidence shd be evident in your passport.. though I dont really get that.
3. Pls write an application letter stating your reason for applying for phd, choosing the school and why Ireland.
and another letter of undertaking stating the 3 undertaking statements....hope this helps otherwise you contact for more

Hello great kinds and happy holidays!

I have an inquiry regarding proof of funds.

My program costs €11,500. Can a bank statement showing the equivalence in naira of the €11,500 for tuition and €7,000 for living expenses be sufficient for my visa application?
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by obenjamin: 9:20pm On Dec 24, 2020
Hello,
Firstly have you paid whole or part of this tuition not less than 6000EUR. If yes, those stated proof of funds should be enough with full explanation of lump sum...

Hope this helps....

I haven’t paid any amount for tuition.
Tuition is €11,500 for the 1 year program and living expense is €7,000. These should amount to about 9.9m.

Will a 6 months bank statement showing 10m from personal bank savings be suitable for POF?

Just check Facebook and you will search for shared room.
There are lots of shared room now in Dublin due to COVID-19
But prepare at least 350€

People don’t know NCI and LIT are government schools making them having more ranking than DBS
You know Nigerians we believe private unis are better but they don’t know that in Europe public universities are the best
ICaSNg:

LIT and NCI also have Data Analytics available- Limerick Institute of Tech and National College of Ireland.

Not sure why people are sceptical about DBS, But majority of those i know have jobs after graduating

Hi @ICaSNg,

If I opt to pay for the Education Bond, would a Statement of Account from where the money was paid from be needed when applying for the visa?

I'm aware that the Education Bond should be done using a domiciliary account (which we do not have), or can it be paid via Form A?

Thank you...

No it will not. The sponsor cannot empty his/her account for you. There has to be some balance left for the person to survive on. The sponsor also has to show evidence of income and how they got the N10M+ at least N2M for their upkeep and family needs. This is very important as you can be denied based on this

Yes, the account where the bond was paid from has to be submitted with explanations on the source of funding!
