Hello, sorry I am just seeing this. Takes like a month and no, I didn't pay for the whole year. Paid just for a semester. Can't remember the duration of when to pay, but once it was sent to me the amount to pay, I did. I hope that helps
Testimonytime:

Not yet. Pls how long does it take to get the conditional admission and do you have to pay a whole year tuition fee, how long were you given to pay up?

Apparently. Cos I am yet to see anyone who is going to BC except you now. I'd be leaving in Saturday by God's grace. I think a whatsapp group would be good for us.
OseCode:
I'll be attending Douglas College which is also in British Columbia (New Westminster). Doesn't seem like there are a lot of Nigerians in that province.
I hope to travel by month end and will start making plans once I receive my passport this week hopefully.
Feel free to reach out.

"Hi guys. If you know anyone traveling to from Nigeria as a student, please inform them to contact their school and obtain a recent enrollment letter within a month's time from departure time. If not, they will be prevented from Flying even with a valid study permit....

Cases seen from Ethiopian airline...

Please share with your contacts and save inconvenience and cost of rescheduling flights ✈️"

Above is a chat my brother based in Halifax shared from a whatsapp group of Nigerians he is a part of. See my other response on this subject for what the document is. It is essentially a proof that you have registered for courses, made payments for fees due and you are a genuine student. Not sure you can get it without fulfilling one of these conditions.

My thought though because it was the same in the US but they don't ask for it at the airport or for boarding. So imagine you needed to apply for renewal of student status or something from the IRCC/DHS (could be SOWP after you land) as a current student, they would need a proof that you are truly "enrolled" as a student. Your DLI will never issue it if you are owing, or have unmet obligations at the time of your request.

These are some samples of the enrollment letter so that those who need it would be guided appropriately

Congratulations.

Pleas did you upload police report on your GC key dashboard and is the police report compulsory? Will appreciate response from gurus in the house.

Generally having an upfront medical fastens your application, however, an upfront medical isn't a guaranty for application approval, for me, I just took a step of faith and went ahead after 2-3 months of not hearing from them.

You could give them a one month margin(10 extra days) and see what happens.
Please When did you submit the required NSE docs?
Someone also mentioned we need to upload our personal SOA in addition to our sponsor's. Was that the case for you?

Hello house,

I applied Nov 26th and got my NSE request mail this morning.

British Council is yet to get back to me on the IELTS Test Report Form. They keep complaining that they are not working and my test was a long time ago and is not easy for them to track (I wrote it July 2019 and cannot remember the score because it didn't meet what I wanted for Express entry)
They have even stopped picking my calls.

Please, what do I do next to get through to them. I have a month to submit my NSE request but my resumption is Jan 11th so the earlier the better for me.

Counting on the gurus in the house to aid me.

Hi OtunbaTee,

Their offices are closed nationwide. They have been working from home.

Someone has finally picked my call now. They told me they have printed another TRF and I will get it dispatched to my house latest tomorrow.

Thank you for your response.

Yes u are right,

Interestingly, this can be likened to a First Class student who applied for an Ordinary Diploma.

Its now left for the Visa Officer (VO) to decide if the reasons for going for a ordinary diploma is cogent enough, cos the VO do make decisions based on their discretion.

This scenerio of a 2.1applicant going for a PGD/PG.Cert has been addressed here

I submitted my study permit application yesterday morning.
Biometrics Instruction letter just dropped now.

I'm looking to book an appointment on Monday for VFS Lagos.

Who's in the same boat with me(Mid-December applicants), so we'll know ourselves? grin

I tracked my passport and got the following update: The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXXX has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja on 2020/12/16. Does this mean that my passport is now with DHL? cos I did a 2-way courier service with DHL and I tried tracking the return WAYBILL NO, on DHL's website but it's not showing the package has been received.
Do I get in touch with DHL or Abuja VFS?

I bought mine 3k from jumia. https://www./50kg-portable-travel-electronic-luggage-scale-lcd-display-travel-digital-luggage-scales-fashion-mpg314592.html

Fai2:
Please can anyone share the contact or location of someone who sells scale? I mean the portable scale for weighing luggage.

This would help people who are travelling too.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,
If you plan on using Ethiopian airline, take along your enrollment verification letter, printout your passport data page and ArriveCAN receipt (I showed her mine on my phone, but she said she needs to have a copy) so I had to print out at the airport for 1k.

At the port of Entry in Toronto, they asked for the ArriveCAN receipt, I showed them on my phone. Then I proceeded to another place, where I was asked to show:
1. Tuition fee receipt
2. LOI
3. LOA
4. Quarantine plan

Then I was issued the permit.

Good morning house, my sister missed a call from this no: 12715650. Truecaller says it’s Canadian embassy. We’ve been trying to call back it’s not going.

She’s a TRV expectant. (Online application)
