I was hoping I could learn in a month and start doing project to enhance my skills

If you are consistent, you can learn enough to start a basic projext in 1/2 months.
I use big nerd branch 4th edition

Today's learning was stressful as I just somehow got am headache after playing ball in the morning...

I just tried and managed to learn about design support library...
Learnt how to use the app Bar layout and the tab layout from the design library..

Would have continued but the headache makes me lose concentration

Hope it looks fine

Today.. I continued with my learning of the design support library...
Learnt abt the coordinator layout,

How to link it with a snack bar(they are like toast but cam interact)
Also learnt abt how to apply the collapsing toolbar layout.. I'm getting better in this thing daily...

But I don't think i understand fragments fully yet...

Well.. this is my updated bits and pizza app..

Head first... I didn't understand the big nerd ranch

Its been more than a week since I updated this...

Well... I was procrastinating sha.. I'm through with my Head first Android and I'm about to start my first project in android

But I want to just summarised what I did over the past week

So after design support library.. I learnt the recycler and card view...

Some points abt them are
A card view is a layout that lets you display info on cards
A recycler view adapter binds view to a piece of data

This was the project completed with card view

After that I learnt abt navigation drawers...

This is a slide out panel that contains link to other parts of the app

It is created by adding a drawer layout as the root element

This was the app made with navigation drawers

I skipped the SQL part... My code didn't work for some unknown reason

I've already downloaded some books abt it so I can read after my project

Then after that... I learnt abt services..

A service is an application component like an activity but without a user interface

A started service can run in the background even when the activity is destroyed

A bound service is bound to another application component

A notification builder is used to build a notification with specific content and features

The project completed with started service and notification

Lastly... I learnt abt bound services

The ibinder interface is important in this service

A service connection is an interface that enables your activity to bind to a service.. it has two methods

Finally I'm through with learning... And as advised by seniors in the industry, I want to build a real app instead of reading another tutorial

Expect my updates in a few days time

Also get on GitHub and read other people's code, you will learn a lot from how others write code.

as per navigation drawer u can use google , it would point you in the right direction.
