travelwaka:
Ikogosi Warm and Cold Springs Is one of the many beautiful attractions in Nigeria. Some claimed it is the only location on earth that produces a warm and cold spring where they meet at a confluence and each still retaining its thermal properties.
Ikogosi is located in Ekiti State, South-West Nigeria. It is a 3 star resort, The origin of the warm springs and the confluence point of the Warm and cold Spring. It sits on 116 hectares of lush green vegetation.

The spring was brought to limelight by Baptist Missionary Rev John S McGee in 1950 after he discovered it during missionary work in Ekiti State, Nigeria. He was warned by locals who thought something might happen to him if he visits the spring. On getting there, he became interested in this beautiful location. It became a famous youth camp and tourist destination. However, after he retired, the camp was abandoned and sold to the Nigerian Government in 1978 for three Hundred Naira (N300). The place has become one of the top tourist destinations in Nigeria worth billions of Naira.

This is why we are begging for Nigeria to be restructured. Nigerian states are so richly blessed that no one will hungry when oil money stop flowing. For now, the current system is giving state governors free money. Paying state governors for doing nothing becus the state governors have no real powers to influence factors that really and truly makes a state to really grow and develop. They don't have control over those vital stuff. Those vital stuff are controlled by FG. This makes ur govt to be paid for free.

Take for money given to governors as security vote is useless becus we can't hold governors accountable for Insecurity in their states since they don't control any of the security institutions in Nigeria.
Nigeria runs the most useless political system ever all because she wants to remain united. Nigeria is scared of breakup. Nigeria forgets that when things are normal, no one will even talk about break up. The money Nigeria states can be making from tourism is mind blowing. But hey, it can't work well becus FG controls major factors such as rail, resource, electricity, security, etc. I would have loved to be there but I could be kidnapped on my way going to ekiti state. It is not the fault of ekiti state that Insecurity is high becus ekiti has no control over this.

Who are benefiting from Nigeria current useless political system? The ruling class o. From east, west, noth and South. The ruling class are the ones enjoying the system and as typical black men and women, due to our natural greed, these ruling class will never wish to adjust this useless political system. They are eating from it.

Who are suffering from the useless political system: the masses. The rest of the masses are the ones suffering it o.

What can be done?
The rest of the masses must team up and come together to demand that the ruling class change the system so that the system will work for all and not for the ruling class alone.

How can this be achieved? By force. The black man is so greedy and extremely stubborn in power. He needs serious force to bow out. The masses can achieve this thru extreme determination and force their leaders to adopt a new political system.

Jammy2012:
grin In Geology, The hot or warm water from the ground is called geyser. This could happen in two ways. 1. It could be water from from the magma chamber or water the has a confluence path with magma vent. 2. It could be from buried radioactive elements that have been buried an eon ago. Just like nuclear reactor generates heat, these buried radioactive elements heat up water in the subsurface. As the pressures build up from the boiling water, the hot water is forced to the surface of the Earth, just like steam lifts the lid of pot. Allah knows the rest

I was there last year. I forgot how much my group paid for the entry and swimming pool fee. We got a tour guide(corp member) who taught us the history of the place(both the Scientific and the Indigenous story).. it's was a great experience

but,

It appears the State Govt have abandoned the place, It's bushy, no electricity(please go with your cold drinks et al) and the place is mostly deserted.

Although they do have rooms to lodge.. The swimming pool is okay too but the bar; no cold drinks(No Light).. It's better to go in group(minimum 5 people) in order to really enjoy the place.
