Thanks for your response.
There was this course we did back then in school, can't really remember the title but it was something "African culture and societies". A borrowed course tho... This books had written events of menace of cultism back then. There was a major flaw the book had then, it never stated his one can be free. It painted cultism as rocket science that the best remedy was to flee. '.
That course should be SAA223 from the department of sociology and anthropology

In case anyone wants to read further

Continued.... After some back and forth, the baggers and the bobos settled and the matter cooled off. Fast forward to a few months later, cosa nostra declared war on the kk over control of whom collected 'security levies' from the numerous businesses on campus (food vendors, saloons, business centres etc).

Now, for the twist, this tussle of who gets the funds from the campus businesses had been brewing for quite sometime starting from the election of the sug president some months prior. Cosa Nostra had been in charge of this extortion scheme for years now and the new sug president was a klansman and with his ascent to power had changed the status quo, he put his fellow bobos in charge of the scheme, boldly supplanting them from a money making venture that was virtually their 'entitlement' at this point.

The mafioso were humiliated by this incursion/supplanting by the klansmen and as such swore to avenge the insult. The kk had the numbers advantage by a slight margin but that had never stopped them before. The first order of business for the mafioso, was to damage the kk morale, three externals were called in from absu and they were the ones who would stab the klansman within an inch of his life. After the attack, the external then echoed 'aromate' effectively pinning the blame on the svc, the klans retaliated against the vikings and the vikings, seeing it as an unprovoked attack, replied in kind and that was how the whole thing degenerated into full blown war.

The vikings had the numbers advantage whilst the klansmen had the advantage of being more prudent than the reckless baggers but losses were still heavy on both sides. When peace was finally sued for, Cosa Nostra began making preparations of their own and barely a month after the bagger/bobo peace treaty, the mafioso struck.

The Sons had predicted that the klansmen would be burnt out from just coming out of a war where they had to be smarter than their opponents and as such would be too emotionally and mentally spent to mount a reasonable counter attack. This saw to the killing of four klansmen within the space of three days with the fourth one being butchered whilst waiting for his girlfriend. It was this fourth death that saw the mafioso finally come out to take responsibility for the killings as calls of 'Ciao Sons!!!' rent the air whilst they butchered the klansmen before throwing his mutilated body into a nearby ravine.

The recent one is actually a sanity issue. He created the account to showcase his childishness on many topics on this forum. Somehow he found his way here. He likes saying ridiculous things and enjoys being quoted. He is actually enjoying himself here, the best treatment is act as if he doesn't exist.

Best thing is to ignore. No fool likes to be ignored. Ignoring people is the most painful for those with complex issues and one attribute of any with complex issue is attention. Starve them of attention and see them whine.

Considering the ideaologies behind the formation of this cult groups, i wouldn't outrightly condemn cultism. Any intelligent person who carefully listens to the orientations of some cult groups would detect, brilliance, intelligence and well arrange diction and semantic. A little thinking will tell you that sane minds are behind all these. Behind a monster, there is an intelligent designer. Most of this designers are people held in high esteem in the society. Some are occupying political offices, some are great pastors, some are lawyers and judges and some are in the academics. I got to know of this facts when a powerful figure in the country paid us a visit in the creek and shouted, Aro mates!

In december of 1998 11 of us ss3 student were initiated into the junior vikings confraternity. And our group was named, city boys confraternity. I was made the intel chief and i was to decode myself this way: place my left hand on my chest and say, "ogbu 3x (and the one decoding me would respond, Bleep or he goes down.) This is me Chuks by name by my rugged name red scorpion, am a full member of city boys confraternity. A.K.A back by a baggar." Those 0T are now outdated. In school at oginigba comprehensive college, the debam boys were in charge but we challenged them to a standstill. CharleyGold, any input?

More like Frankenstein's monster? Right?

We need to call evil, evil. If something has changed the ideologies it formed, then it behooves of those behind the "intelligent & brilliance" to denounce it wholeheartedly. Every year-in, year-out, these frats/groups still holds conventions making it seem interesting to the innocent onlooker whereas it is not.

I'm sure you and CharleyGold will remember or likely know of this incident in Rivers State late 90s/early 00s. (I've always refrained from giving an account because some of the stories are well-known and may make it easy to id me. I will not say the name of the school too). An undergraduate not up to 200 level buried a rival alive to show his readiness to take over the reins of the campus' leadership.

How does that relate to intelligence and brilliance? I'm not trying to undermine your school of thought, not at all. But how does that relate to an ideology based on premeditated murder? That someone is a pastor, political office holder does not reduce the effects of a problem. For one cultist that escapes this crazy demon eating the youths up, 99 go down for it.

Let's all #saynotocultism with our open voices. (I'm hurt already). cry embarassed

Before now, i had always had a 1 track mind, but for the first time in my life i was experiencing 2 emotions at once. Fear and anger. Fear at the weapon pressed against my back and anger at the fact that i was about to be robbed... Again. 'Aro, na the bst wey light my sister be dis' at the statement, i felt two hot slaps bring my thoughts back to reality. I kept mute as their hands went into my pocket. 'U and who follow go d movement?!' one of them shouted in my face, his breath stinking of cheap liquor and smoke. I maintained my silence. By now, they were starting to draw attention and with a few hushed words, they boarded a keke and zoomed off, leaving me to stew in my shame and anger.

In october of 2000, the norsemen in their bid to entrench the vikings in rivers state did set up the supreme Iceland confraternity and Ateke Tom was made the anchor head. This move angered so many men who were SOB to Ateke, they eventually left to form their own group. Onyegwu formed Onyegwu marine, Julius formed the Greenlanders and Tekena started the Redlanders. With this many splinter groups, Portharcourt was never to be the same again.. dfrost, i know the incident you cited, now a cultist killed a rival cultist to make his bone how does that conflict with what i am saying? He didn't kill an innocent child or woman but a CULTIST like himself.. Spinoza, my greatest of philosophers said that, if circumstances are seen as unfortunate, it is only because of inadequate conception of realities. Cultist are all pawns in the hands of the masters- fated to die!

In regards to attire, Cosa Nostra copies and bastardizes the dressing apparel of the Sicilian mob as of the 1940's. Fedora on the head, long coats, jeans, tough boots. They don't have a colour code as far as i am aware.

That would be the maphites sir. People tend to confuse the family confraternity (la cosa nostra) and the maphite confraternity.

Omerta. The Sicilian principle of silence. Every mafioso follows this code religiously. In essence, one who abides by the code of silence in his affairs is said to follow omerta in that he keeps everything about him private.
You idiots watch too many Hollywood mafia movies and now want to act it out just as Woke Soyinka who after seeing a pirate movie at Agege Pen Cinema got so obsessed with being a pirate that he formed his own fantasy pirate group.

Grow up .
