Work on this road has been going on a long time in 2013 and it was in conjunction with the world bank. Below is some documentary on this Road and when you finish watching you will see that Jonathan you are insulting built about 75/80% of the road.

Ask question if you don’t know. The road is a Trans-African highway starting from Enugu and ending in Bamenda, Cameroon. It links Enugu - Abakaliki - Mfum/Ekok - Mamfe - Bamenda.

Basically, the road links Enugu, Ebonyin, Cross River and Cameroon together. So, why are we not making noise about this like the maradi rail that won’t even enter Niger republic?

Also, the project is being financed primarily by AFDB and other partners. Nigeria is not wholly the sponsor of the project - as against what Buhari is doing in katsina-Maradi

I can see you quickly googled the project but your research is still incomplete.

Yes, the Trans-African highway is designed to link 8 countries starting in Lagos and terminating in Kenya. However, such huge projects are constructed in phases and the Enugu - Bamenda corridor is a federal government project that is been done by the Buhari administration. The project is been funded and supervised by RSDT, a special project organization under the federal ministry of works and housing.

Your assertion that the project is been funded by AFDB and not FG shows how ignorant you are about how government operates. RSDT is been financed by loan obtained by FG from World bank, AFDB, China and FG counterpart funds. AFDB is not funding the project for free. It is a loan that FG would pay back just like other developmental loans.

In case you don’t know, the Maradi rail project will also be funded by a Chinese loan and FG counterpart funds. So, what’s the difference?

You see how terrible and wicked this people are? He OP had to mention Enugu to make it look nice. He will now say its the stretch of the road. The $2.6B loan from China for gas pipe, they say is from Ajaokuta to Kano then N'djemena. Why not say its from Warri where the gas actually is from? Enugu does not have boundary with Cameroon. That bridge is either linking Taraba or Yobe/Benue to Cameroon.
A northerner recent said lots of people from Niger given political positions and currently working in the government.
We are watching. All this that looks like secrets will be spilt out by the north themselves. Let's just give it time. They covered BH before, now, its their major problem. The parley with Niger and Chard will soon be their problem. Just watch and see.
