Hello, I have a question for all the applicants who did an upfront medical exam after submitting their application. How did you send your Medicals to ircc? Did you raise a web form or send it by email? Because Ircc is yet to send a medical request and I want to it soon.
Yes you will need to raise a Webform & also send it by mail.

To do that, visit the link below

Sending Webform of E-Medical Sheet (Upfront Medicals) & Sending Emails to IRCC Nairobi office

We can't say anything now till GCMS note is out.

Submitted Degree cert, transcript, waec cert, testimonial, nysc for records. The response is generic.

Let's see what's in GCMS note in 30 days.

You right but sharing your profile exhaustively would help a lot. there some great minds here would pin point some error before the GCMS note corroborate every thing.

What I did was carry my most essential stuffs from Nigeria so I didn't need to come out at all, firstly I did try to open an account at the airport but couldn't spot one on time and if you have a connecting flight, you might not have the time to get your SIN and open an account, I was told Nigerian cards work but didn't get to use it either.. if you can come with essential foodstuffs that can last you 14days or if you have any dependable family/friend around here - they can help you do grocery shopping and drop them off for you. L

Cheers

Please, what do you mean by essential foodstuffs? Which food stuffs were you able to carry? I will be travelling soon, I wanna buy all the stuffs in the coming days.
Cheers!

Hello oyinlove15

I gave the info below to help those who want to do upfront medical (medical before it’s requested by IRCC) A passed upfront medical never guarantees an approval. People just do it to save time.

oyinlove15:
Hello
Please have they responded to your enquiry

Seems IRCC won't be requesting for medicals because of this nse method and a medical passed now doesn't guarantee approval on study permit.

So sorry to hear about your refusal, God will give you a positive outcome in your reapplication.

Hello ayobami2001,

You are not allowed to quarantine in a shared living space. An Airbnb which accommodates 1 person only might accept you. Contact the host and tell them it’s for self isolation before you proceed to book.

Best wishes
Ayobami2001:
All my reservations via airbnb are being declined by the hosts cos they don’t want a international traveler that will quarantine in their shared living space. undecided

Hi guys, sorry it took this long.

Did not do covid test. No one checked my luggage in Lagos. Just went to the Ethiopian airlines stand, gave them enrolment letter, admission letter, arrive can receipt photocopy and I checked in my luggage. Begged the checker to put me by the window for all flights up to Newfoundland, he did and i just tipped his something. Went to have breakfast and then dashed towards the boarding gate. As expected, na only pilot no tax me. Plane left around 2. We got to Addis Ababa around 9.
Getting out of the plane, we rushed to the boarding gate to get set for Dublin. Plane left around 11 and we got to Dublin about 8 hrs later I think. This was so so long. There was quite a delay at Dublin I think because of logistics but from Dublin to Toronto it took us about 7 hrs. The journey was long for me as my max before now used to be around 5 hrs.

We got to Toronto, waited for about 30 minutes in the plane, went straight to border services, filled a few forms, showed our arrive can, boarding pass and passport and then we were directed towards immigration. The guy just came to us, asked us for passport, tuition receipt/enrolment verification, declaration form and admission letter. 10 minutes later, he called me, gave me back my documents and issued my study permit and gave me a paper to direct me on how to get my social insurance number, then that was all.

Checked in my luggage going to Newfoundland. It was still past 11 and my flight was for 9:30 pm so i just followed my Nigerian friends going to Vancouver to their boarding gate, gisted and saw them off at past 2. Then it was only me. This was draining. I then began to tour the airport and met a South Sudanese woman with whom I discussed the state of our countries and neo-colonialism. She's a Canadian citizen so she enlightened me a whole lot and when she realized i didnt have cash cause I was complaining on phone that i was hungry, she gave me 20 U.S dollars but the mumu me went to Italian to buy ham, bacon and coke. I forcefully finished it o.

Went to my boarding gate 2 hrs prior and saw a white guy. Moved closer to him and started a conversation. He was speaking fast so my accent also had to change. We discussed Trump, liberalism, Canada's plan towards development and economic expansion, American and Chinese trade wars and the beauty of data analytics in Insurance. A few minutes to board, we parted and he got to the plane first as per him seat be like first class.

I later got on the plane but when the plane paced around the runway, i think it began to have issues so the captain said we'd return to the gate and do a system refresh on the plane. It delayed for two hours. I sha know say after like five minutes wey plane move up, i don sleep. Before I know, e don remain 8 minutes to land. Landing was thrilling cause the journey from Lagos was long. I got to the NFL border, took my luggage, approached the border official, submitted my passport, travel declaration form and my GT atm card for indentification. She spoke her English and then freed me. I met my greeter and he put me in the cab but failed to tell the porter i was coming cause he was attending to two others.

The cabman dropped me and I knocked and knocked but nobody came through. I was just on a shirt. I languished in the cold, shouted for help but no one came through. I saw a car pass by and slowly approached the car and an Asian lady listened to me, asked me to wait and she called her supervisor. I ran across the road for like five minutes to limit the effect of the cold and then she drove towards me and gave me a number to call but that was when the other two guys came and the porter came around. I went in, called the greeter, fuckling blast him and he apologized. I was then shown my room and I checked in for isolation. I am in quarantine.
A mix of experiences you see?

MadeMan01:

Congratulations.
Rest and give us proper report from Nigeria to destination in Canada. Also, is the quarantine location to be at final destination point or first point of entry in Canada

Hello UBCcookies,

I think there’s only 1 lab in delta with covid testing (delta mobile laboratory associated with Irrua specialist) it’s a government one so I don’t know if they do tests privately or just for suspected cases. If you know anyone, you can ask them.

Alternatively, if your flight is from Lagos, Abuja or the likes, you can travel earlier and get the test done. There are many private labs.

Best wishes

UBCcookies:
Please how do I get this covid test? I'm in Delta and I am having difficulty locating an accredited center. My travel is on 30th biko.

Hello, I will like to ask if I can use a Nigerian bank account to pay tuition fees to an European university account. and if yes, how long will it take for it to drop at the European University account?

Secondly, I want to explain my situation, I applied to a university abroad and got admission, i am currently in a university in Nigeria, but haven’t completed, So i want to start afresh abroad..I only submitted my WAEC result to the university and they accepted me..I would be applying for a visa soon, so i will like to know if I will need to submit any document of my current university study, or i should submit only my WAEC result?

A REPLY WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED BECAUSE THIS IS AN URGENT CIRCUMSTANCE.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Interesting!!!
Thank You for sharing.
I wish you a wonderful experience in Canada!

Hello tellalexander,

You’re on the wrong thread. This thread is for Canada study permit/visa.

Yes, you can pay using what is called Form A. Visit your bank branch with your university details, they’ll do it for you. You would need the following:

Requirement for Foreign School Fees payment

-Applicant must be account holder of the bank he/she is requesting from
-School admission letter must be provided.
-Bank details of Institution or school to be provided.
-Account must be funded to cover Naira equivalent of requested amount.
-Authority to debit. A written instruction to the bank to debit your account.
-Duly completed Form A application form
-Applicant must possess valid Nigerian International Passport or Foreign passport with Nigeria as place of birth. A copy of the biodata page of the passport to be submitted for processing of the request.
-Applicant must possess Valid Visa

Before covid, it used to take about a week for the school to get tuition. Now it will take longer, especially with the Dollar scarcity. It can take 3 weeks or more. If you are specific about what country the Uni is in, that would be good.

If you’re going for a first degree and you submitted only WAEC to the university that gave you the admission, I don’t see why they’ll need any documents from your current Uni. If you can share what country it is, I might be able to help better. You can send me a private message so we can chat via email if you would like more help.

Best wishes

Thank you.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

My sister received a mail for the Nigeria Student Express.

However, we want to be sure do they mean that the entire sum of the fees must have been in the account for six months or they only need the bank statement for six months.

Also, for the Ielts requirement does it have to be an academic test or general test.

Please has anyone being successful in this process and can guide.

Thank you.

Best wishes

I went in, called the greeter, fuckling blast him and he apologized. I was then shown my room and I checked in for isolation. I am in quarantine.

Thanks for this gist, quite informative. Have a prosperous experience in Canada

Request for an e-statement of account and then print yourself or just leave it on your phone to show IF you're asked. You may not even be asked for it. These things depend on the officer but it's better to be ready than to be sorry.
