Akwa Ibom state and white elephant projects. They have A1 in that. A state that I am very sure is among the Top5 states with a high unemployment rate.

Even Ibom Tropicana cannot be accessed by the majority of their indigenes, yet they keep building more. They are lucky the indigenes are quite content and not prone to crime- the crime rate in that state would have been something else.
if we start being tribalistic Una go complain. Abi?

If we say all our oil and stuffs should only be for akwa Ibom abi Una not go complain?

Ibom deep seaport nan audio development.

All the funds that have been wasted on stadiums, hotels, shopping malls, and golf courses should have been invested in the deepsea port. Investment in critical infrastructures such as rail, seaports, roads, and power should be first priority.
Una sabi talk sha

Nothing Una sabi.
Did they tell you the sea port is or will be built by state funds?
Did they tell you the sea port was approved in the 1980s?

eparrot, the wasted funds on stadium, how many times was that standout used for Nigerian matches?

Will you keep kwayet

First paragraph - Udom actually did a good thing by reverting to PPP unlike Akpabio who made it a public project.

Second paragraph - Very correct considering that states abut to Akwa Ibom are crime infested places.

NOTE: Tropicana was built and commission by Godswill Akpabio in 2014 and was since operated--with a cinema showing both day and night and a 6000 shop space inside and the Market Square just came in and approached the present government to take over the place and ---They have subdivided the place into 9000 shops and allocated it to different people that can pay for the shops and other malls and pcarry out renovations on some places and the shop owners have started putting their product in readiness for the officiall opening of the malls--it is not Governor Udom that built it please ---for correction.

Nice responds tho. Next complete it by saying its a PPP investment and that Udom invited the investors, what Akpabio could not do..

The Tropicana was built by Godswill Akpabio and was operated by Silver Bird Cinema and inside was 6000 shops which originally was to be taken and operated by ShopRite ---The Cinema was operating and This Year the Market Square group approach the present government to take over the shops and renovates it and allocates to different people that can pay the money---Nearly all the 9000 shops have been collected by different shop owners ready for business--It is not Governor Udom s project nor he being the one that build the structure.

Nice one.
But wording is wrong. If something is ready for inauguration, best believe, there should be any construction equipment on site.

Only in Nigeria.

Try to improve your capacity to process and comprehend information. They reported "most luxurious" not "biggest" as you falsely put down.
[s][/s]

As weak and low as your capacity seems, I will remind you that this same mall was posted on Nairaland some months ago before completion and it was tagged the biggest in Nigeria. Oh, you didn't read that or your capacity was nowhere to be found then?

Some of you just enter people anyhow, you type like you know it all. What exactly do you know?

Elitist projects again. How many Akwa Ibomites can patronize the mall when 95% of the indigenes are battling to eke out a living. Udom has failed in flying colours.
well at least few of them will have a JOB something you won't know about right about now!

They are coming up gradually. You can go to GMART or ROBAN. Don't worry bigger ones are coming soon. grin.
They would have been boasting of big Nnewi mall now but them no gree. Project was abandoned as you can see at roundabout.
But Nnewi is coming up gradually. So chill.
Nnewi lands are already booked to maximum. Where can you find about fifteen plots that's not already under development.

That round about project was abandoned because the true land owners weren't contacted

You're talking as if they sell things in millions at the mall, what sort of nonsense stats is that? 95% do you even know what a mall is?

You're the one that have failed, paid sadist.

I hope there is buying power. It's not by building malls oo. If people rent stores and don't make sales, they'll fold up and the mall will become empty. People rent stores for profit purpose not for decoration.
Are you in Akwa-ibom state or you just feel like dropping your opinion even though it doesn't make sense?

Nice structure ...
All those high light bulbs in the ceiling will die one at a time.
Will they setup scaffolding to change 1 bulb each time? Or they allow 100 bulbs to die before changing?
Then the place start looking like the standard derelict Nigerian public structure..

Maintenance is main issue. I'm not impressed with the immediate appearance. Let 1 year pass before I show any impression.
