End of banditry is still very near. ![]() When leader honour criminals publicly what should we expect? Many others will follow the same path definitely. I believe this is enough inspiration for many jobless youths.

Please what kind of special equipment is required to destroy bandit's camp that the military lacks? The army shouldn't even have anything to do with fighting bandits, where is the police force in all of this? Can you see the irresponsibility of these people?

I believe a time is coming when some of these useless governors will blame the Federal government for armed robbery, cultism and other petty crimes in their states and use it to justify negotiations and giving money to criminals. |

timay:You must be crazy. Can you give me an example of direct US involvement that led to a crisis? For every mistake committed, the home military has done far more. Tell me an example of where new weapons were tested in an insurgency war? US involvement in the ISIS insurgency trained local troops to push IS out of Iraq and syria, even while Syria was fighting a civil war. BH is spreading all over the north east and you're applauding your president for setting you back in a war you obviously cannot contain. Now let me tell you. No one is longing to directly involve it's troops in another man's country. Apart from special forces duties. US and french military train local troops on fighting insurgency and with time, cut back troops. |

https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/hunters-council-bill-scales-second-reading-in-senate/ The Hunter’s Council of Nigeria Bill scaled second reading at the Nigerian Senate on Tuesday. The bill is in an effort to legalise the activities of various hunters’ groups in the country. The Bill titled “The Nigerian Hunter’s Council of Nigeria Bill, 2020” was sponsored by Senator Biodun Olujimi (Ekiti South). Olujimi, while speaking to reporters on Tuesday, in Abuja, noted that the law, when passed, would enable hunters to provide community policing, maintain law and order and offer community service to citizens. |

I see more whippings against civilians by these so called hunters. I remember long time ago when vigilante groups would whip people just for heading home late at night. In what reality should that be happening. Rubbish. Train, and equip the police, jeez WoeBetide666: |

[quote author=UltimateDreamer to have America conduct an operation on Nigeria's soil, and some people on here shrug it off like its nothing, and was supposed to happen.[/quote]Back then, I think it was on the African military picture thread(not so sure), When a mall was attack in Kenya, and a British SAS was involve in the rescue operation, some Nigerians dey make mouth on that thread say, the Nigerian government no fit let a foreign military personnel embark on a military operation on Nigerian soil. A lot of the gladiators on the thread agreed with the person... For my mind, I was like, shey this people no remember the Sokoto incident ![]() Now see this one wey happen, is just like Nigerian SBS going on an operation in Ghana, even if the Ghanian Government is notify, dem no go ever gree ![]() |

Whyem15:So according to you, we have the ministry/minister of police in Nigeria The Nigerian police is under the ministry of interior. Don't we have other retired and very competent officers from the MOPOL,IRT,SARS,SWAT and other special police department that can head this our so called Border forces . Instead of creating another security unit, A border police unit can be establish in the Nigerian police. |

BabaOwen:It took the threat of losing the 2015 election for Jonathan to order the largest offensive against Bokoharam yet, he found a way to get over $2 billion to equip the military even though majority of the the money was used for other selfish reasons . Immediately after the election, everything returned back to status quo cause he wasn't affected anymore. Trust me if the chances of Buhari wining the 2019 election was largely dependent on defeating Bokoharam, trust me, the insurgency would have been history. It is not lack of capability. Even though we don't have the weapons we would love to operate, we can still manage with the ones we have. The 2014/2015 offensive was with even lesser capabilities and equipment. Simply put, there is no pressure on this administration to end insurgency in Nigeria...... The other forms of insecurity are entirely different topics. |

| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Whyem15: 11:30am On Dec 24, 2020 |
BabaOwen:I suspected ransom was paid right from the very first day, I was even in support of it while discussing possible ways of freeing the kids. No government would have made such a deal public to save face. Negotiations was the only way they could have freed those kids without casualties. If you are fluent with hausa, listen to the BBC hausa interview of the governor of Zamfara state or ask any hausa person to interpret it for you, you will definitely get the politics behind the banditry in the Northwest. |

Even som Bokoharam members were high ranking members of the borno state government at some point in time. Let PDP win the next presidential election and you will see a change in the IPOB situation; they planned to boycott the 2019 election, we all know how that turned out. Such is the stupid politics we all play in this country and it is somewhat normal for a country of hundreds different ethnic groups, there will always be dissatisfaction and feeling of operation and marginalization.
