I’m seriously laughing here.
I’ve never heard such in my entire life of trading.

RISK TO REWARD IS EVERYTHING.

Even 1:1 risk to reward isn’t entirely advisable.

You dont need to have the best strategy.
There’s no holy grail strategy.

The only way you can beat the market is to cut your ‘losses fast and let your winners run’

Let one of your winning trades cover about 2 or 3 of your lost trade.

And the only way to achieve this is to have higher Reward than Risk for every trade.

I’ve seen a 30% - 40% win rate strategy still come out profitable in the long run.

And 70% win rate strategy accumulate losses

Trend following strategy has a 40% win rate, yet traders make alot of money from it.

Why?
Because one winning trade can give you 1:7 risk to reward.

The best way to let your winners run is to trail it.

I won’t say you’re wrong boss,
But It actually is.
Proper risk management is what determines how long a trader survives in this market.

Even with a 95% win rate strategy.
With bad risk management, just a few lost trades can blow up a trader’s account and keep them out of the game.

Experienced and professional traders don’t even have a 65% win rate strategy.
They lose trades too. Sometimes 3..4..or even 5 in a row.
Why do you think they’re still profitable or still have enough to trade for another day?

I don’t know if it’s greed or something, alot of people just keep looking for a 100% win rate strategy when truly there’s nothing like that, ignoring the fact that the key to being profitable and being able to survive in the street of FX isn’t a 100% strategy but good psychology, proper risk management and higher Reward to risk ratio .

Honestly that’s the secret.

As a trader, you live to trade another day.

Dukascopy Bank, just like Saxobank, is an A-class broker if you want to settle down with fx fulltime. This is what most banks, hedge funds and professional traders use. They have your money segregated with the swiss bank. This is most definitely my 1st choice if I happen to trade from naija.

But, deposits and withdrawals are expensive.
