abeg Tec junior users, pls who can show me where to drain the engine oil of my Tec junior.
I want to drain it myself...kindly help with a picture. thanks
I believe yours should be same, use a spanner to loose the nut with the blue arrow to drain oil. To fill oil, use your hand to loose the cover with the red arrow. If yours doesn't have the nut part for drain just drain through the inlet part by bending the gen.

First check the spark plug, clean it and ensure the gap is between 0.6-0.8mm. Also, check the oil level if there's enough oil.

Thanks for your response sir. Yes there's enough oil. Here's the plug I just loose now. I don't know how to calculate the gap. Or should I buy a new plug since I can't even recall the last time the plug was changed.

Gap looks too small, you can measure using a small ruler, then clean the plug too. You can decide to get a new plug, just try and get an original one.

It’s not the price that is my relative concern cos am actually getting it from a friend who sells generators. It’s the quality of the brand am asking about. I no it isn’t TEC or SUMEC strong but can it be used to run a betting shop that just needs it to power 4 computers and 32” tv only?
hello bro, pls did you buy the Gen.? someone recommend the brand for me, is it good?

Good day house. Please I need help with my small generator, the I pass my neighbor type. A new calibrator was fixed and everything is working fine but full tank only lasts me for 5hours max. Before now 1litre can last for 3-4hours. I think it's the calibrator, how do I set it to stop consuming too much fuel or what other solution would you give. Thank you

Hello Gptech. I am so grateful for your professional advice. So I went out and got a new spark plug. And gen is running fine for almost an hour now with no issue so far. I wish I had seen this thread earlier it would've saved me almost 3 week of not using my generator.
Thank you again and God bless you for the good works you guys are doing here for free.

Was just wondering because you insinuated that inverter ACs like the regular ones demand so much on generators.
I didn't. Inverter ACs demand so much but not as much as the regular ACs

Thank you for this hack. I've learnt a lot from this thread and I'm sure there is more to learn

Uwc, that's how they actually specified for oil to be changed from the user manual.

Hello prof.

My generator is fluctuating and behaving like it wants to go off when there is no fuel but there is fuel in it. Then after like 20minutes, it starts coughing out smoke and finally goes off. But if I try to start it, it won't start.

If you have a feeler gauge....you can just select the size and feel the gap and adjust it by hitting it with a spanner or any other item

Or you can just use your eye and sense to know the gap

Did you recently change the oil? Check if you don't have too much oil in the generator.

I think it's normal if you don't wipe out spilled fuel from it and if you allow the forces of nature- rain and sun to act on it. It's coated metal afterall.

look towards the recoil area beneath the tank, you'll see a screw just as in the image, using a star screw driver turning it clockwise mean increasing the firing but anticlockwise means lowering the firing.....the ⭕ is what you have to tune

Hello prof.
I always use my 2.6KVA generator to power my 1Hp pumping machine. But today when I used it, it was working fine for like 5minutes and later it started to fluctuate. After switching off the pumping machine, it was still fluctuating, even when I switched it off using the switch it did not go off. I had to use the choke to turn it off.
Please what is the problem.
