I be bachelor I no get exact percentage but I will say around 15- 20% depending on how the month goes for me.

Someone earning 100k can decide to use 25% of his earning. But someone earning 1m cannot use 25%,that is too much for feeding. What of someone earning 30k ,will 25% feed him a month?

It all depends on how much you earn. One person 5% for feeding can be too much for feeding,while another person's 50% can't even feed him for a week.

You are assuming that someone who earns 1M every month will be eating the same stone rice as someone who earns 100K. As income increases, so does taste. They may both end up spending the same percentage on feeding.

It depends on your income and location.

Abuja and Port Harcourt are expensive.

North and West like Oyo are moderately cheaper.

If you earn #20 000 - #30 000 monthly.

Then allocating 40- 60% is necessary.

Asking for percentage but leaving out the actual monthly income wouldn't give you perfect picture. Someone might be spending 30% of 400k while another family might be spending 80% of 100k monthly income

Percentage allocation for feeding is not realistic.
How much on the average is more practical.
I spend an average of 38000 monthly on feeding (just me, not married) because I don't cook.
That's a one-digit percentage of my monthly earning.
To someone else, that amount can be a very insignificant percentage while it'll can be a reasonable percentage to others.

Nothing to allocate. Most Nigerians can’t survive with their income. How can a family of 6 making 30k a month survive. All the money goes to food then start borrowing and buying food on credit to survive for the remaining days of the month
