But 9ja surgeons did not copy that "Mr" bit from the British despite being our colonial master. We too like title to copy that.

Surgeons call themselves 'Mr' to distinct themselves from other Doctors.

It is a thing of pride for them... and a number of them get offended when you call them Dr.

If a man has earned a title, he should bear it.
