For those who don't know, one of CR7's companies is one of the sponsors of the award. Also, Marca a Real Madrid based journal is one of the chief stakeholders/shareholders of the awarding organization.

So, in all honesty, who else do you expect a CR7 sponsored organization give the award to?

Moreover, the selection of Salah as a better player of this premature century ahead of Zidane, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ronaldo De Lima, Iniesta, Henry and Robben puts the nail in the coffin for the lack of absolute credibility of this award which has "bought" written all over it.
