My apologies Was distracted and heard the Tucanons in the news with the reporters on one fighter I concluded via the canopy that it was the Tucanons Buy no vex, the aircraft he was reporting from had separate canopy hatches plus the build of the tucano That was why I concluded The L-39z has a dual fixed canopy abi |

This dry season might be more violent than any we've seen recently. There are rumors of alliance between the two factions for the purpose of causing destruction and chaos this dry season. Sadly, the military isn't ready at all, especially the army |

Toju200:This sounds preposterous and smirks of incompetence. The responsibility of military intelligence is not to predict enemy attack alone, but most importantly to abort such before it even evolves. One does not need to be a security expert to know that BH will hit hard during this festive period. That has been their modus operandi since the Christmas day bombing of the Catholic Church at Madalla about a decade ago. So apart from 'warning' us about terrorists imminent attack, how many preemptive strike were carried out? how many preemptive arrest were made? It's an indictment on DSS that BH successfully carried out strings of attacks despite getting intelligence report about this. |

NuraSambo:DSS warned it was the job of NA to act on such intelligence Not DSS so the fault is on NA |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Xbee007(m): 12:53pm On Dec 27, 2020 |
Toju200:It was the job of the DSS to provide accurate intelligence to forestall such attack. Any person can predict such attack. |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by ugo4u: 2:03pm On Dec 27, 2020 |
Toju200:The DSS also have capability to launch an attack of their own or act on said intelligence depending on the situation though going for joint operations with NA might turn out better. Anybody can guess that there would be an attack what distinguishes security agents and some random individual is the ability to work on the gathered intelligence to forestall any attack before they strike. |

marvin906:from my ignorant outside opinion , i have read that nigeria air defense have : - 16 roland 2 short range air systems (with 6 to 8 km max range) from 80's . if it still operationnal - 09 F7NI jets with Grifo-MG radars (max range detection 55km) and PL-9C air to air missiles ( 22km max range air to air) . - and this new 36D6 radars and civilian radars - some manpads and anti-aircraft guns. this is insufficient to intercept or even detect an attack by a modern aviation ( 4th + generation jets like Rafales for exemple) . with anti-radiation missiles , BVR long, medium range missiles , the agressor will not have too much trouble to shot down the F7NI's undetected or strike what he wants in nigeria and get the control of the skies . when the JF17 come . (hope more than 3 jets , and hope block III version with new radar ) . it will be better and give nigeria a minimum air defense, interception capability . and the next step will be getting better radars and long , medium range air defense systems . pics : Roland air defense system on AMX 30 F7NI with PL-9C air to air missile

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to engage the assistance of the Chadians to defeat the Boko Haram insurgency in North-East Nigeria. The governor stated this when he spoke on Channels Television on Sunday night monitored by The PUNCH. Sule, who visited Borno State after the killing of over 40 rice farmers by Boko Haram, had said other options should be explored to end the insurgency in the North-East. Asked to explain the other options on Sunday evening, the governor said, “Many times, we have spoken about engaging external forces to assist us. We have seen how the Chadians have been very successful in handling Boko Haram. Can we engage them? Can we actually begin to engage others who can assist us so that we can handle this matter once and for all?” Sule, however, applauded the President for his “responsiveness” to finding a lasting solution to the insecurity situation in the country. “If you want to get Mr President’s attention, talk about security. This is a man who is very concerned about the security of the country but he is also not the type that will come out and talk so much on what he is doing. I don’t talk for Mr President but this is based on what I know about him; Mr President takes security with urgency,” the Nasarawa governor said. The PUNCH had earlier reported that Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, also implored the Buhari regime to engage mercenaries and seek the assistance of the military of countries like Chad, Cameroon, amongst others to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.
