Hi all, has/is anyone traveled/traveling with Qatar Airlines (transit through Doha) to Canada from Lagos? Did you need a covid test before boarding or being admitted into Hamad (Doha) Airport for transiting/stopover?

We can't know the VO concerns till we see GCMS note.

Being following this thread since April this year. Trust me, I actually submitted with the hope of knowing my application weakness then attach letter of explanation by next application. From that time till September, we mostly hear of ppr by second application. Someone here got it at his 4th application.

My SOP study plan might also be poorly documented, couldn't get someone to proof it for me then cos everyone was busy, I had to submit early October. Got admission since August.

Thanks for the mentions guys.

Hi LegacyEdition! Please feel free to contact me on WhatsApp (08111419487) when you're ready to reapply. I will gladly proof and edit your SOP for you at no cost at all. I can at least put my English degrees to good use, even if for the benefit of my fellow soldier seeking to run away from this subtartarean clime called Nigeria.

Good evening house please the my bank statement certificate needed for NSE is it 6months or 12months? Am confused. I need help on this please asap

Send them 12months bankstatement using the mybankstatement certificate. 4-6 months use to be their standard requirement. But with introduction of this NSE, i would advise you give for 1 year.

All the best.

Hi team,

I arrived in Montreal 23 hours ago - on Turkish Airlines after stopping 8 hours in Istanbul - but spent the first 6 hours at the YUL - Montreal airport. A mix of Covid-19 protocol plus the crowd of students coming in this period made the queue too long. I can't do much reporting now as I am still jet lagged but I just wanted say thanks to everyone who has been and continue to be a part of this journey. In a few days when am well rested, I will return with fuller gist of the lessons from this trip.

NB: my phone and laptop batteries dried up while drafting this message initially some 15 hours ago. I have now been able to sort the recharging/plugging problem with the kind help of Frater.... So I add my voice to the advice that those coming next should quickly find a way to plug and charge their devices before or upon arrival.

My wife and daughter not allowed to fly to Canada via Lufthansa yesterday.
Please learn from my mistake.
My wife was cleared after presenting several documents, Eg. A valid job offer in Canada, while my daughter was not allowed to fly, an infant of 3 yrs old. SOWP visa application was made to together with my kid application, upon approval, my wife Visa annotated as Worker, while my daughter's Visa annotated Visitor.
Due to his annotation, my daughter's was not allowed to fly. Visitors are not allowed to come to Canada.

We spent over 4 hours explaining that they are not coming as a visitor, the kid is a dependent.
Lesson, Make sure u get all requirements on ground like a JOB offer, spouse Pay Subs, Accommodation, Copy of husband permit, exemption to fly letter, Authorization letter ( Apply 14 days earlier before departure) ArriveCan App, etc.

Hello Paul4canada,

Sorry to hear about your family's ordeal. The bolded was the mistake made on your daughter's case. Have you been able to sort it out now?

Best of Luck

@JustMellow, you're just wonderful! Thanks for the efforts you and other fellows put to sustain this thread.

May I ask you this question please, if you got an admission for a Master's program in Canada and applies for scholarship to support your tuition in the same University, to what extent will this singular action affect the approval of your student visa should you apply to IRCC for permit? Please your opinion. Thanks

Hello Heffalump,

Apologize for the delayed response. There is no singular consequence. It goes same way as funding would go.

On a contrary, avoid external scholarship sponsored by some countries that's partnering with the Government of Canada. Most of these scholarship have a clause that makes the student not eligible for a PGWP.

I think most university have a period that's opened for scholarship application. Find this out from your school.

On the other note, most schools gives scholarship to student after the first semester or as the case may be owing to their academic performance based on in-person assessment from the faculty (members).

I believe you have your reason for not applying directly to a Thesis-based Masters which would have given you an towards funding.

Hope this helps!

Best of Luck

Good day guys. I applied for my student visa through an agent as the school I applied to does not deal directly with students from Nigeria. My passport was returned last week Tuesday, asked my agent about LOI and he said that they didn't get any documents after my passport.
Please is the LOI optional cos I'm confused.

Hello OseCode,

Has the visa been affixed to the PP already?

Best of Luck

I started building my account from march this year so 1year statement would show some issues. But 6months is very fine.

Good morning guys I need your suggestions on this thing.
1. I got a company who's willing to give me reference letter, bank statements, sponsorship letter.
2. I have my parents sponsorship letter, land documents and a huge some of money in my account (10m, but I have about 500k before ) but the senders name is not my parents name, also I have a letter stating that my parents sent the money to me as my school fees.

Which do you think I should go for.

This information is not absolutely correctly as it depends on your destination. Please contact Qatar airways support on Twitter or call their Nigeria number to confirm if you required a covid test for your destination.
