Pence asks judge to toss GOP lawmaker's bid to overturn

Vice President Pence on Thursday asked a federal judge to reject a bid by Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and other Republicans to broaden Pence's powers in a manner that would effectively allow him to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's electoral win.

The lawsuit, filed earlier this week, seeks to expand Pence's role in an upcoming Jan. 6 meeting of Congress to count states' electoral votes and finalize Biden's victory over President Trump.

But in a Thursday brief to Texas-based U.S. District Judge Jeremy Kernodle, a Trump appointee, Pence said he was not a proper defendant to the suit.

I rarely go out much because of this pandemic going on and coming from a place where I have lost numerous guys that I know, I just stay mostly indoors in IKJ or my parents in the Island. I do not want to take any chances knowing most people I see in Lasgidi don't even wear protective facemasks. I wonder why are people playing Russian Roulette with their lives.

As of today, 3,001,017 votes have been cast in the Georgia runoffs.
- 928,069 by mail
- 2,072,948 in-person.

To put the numbers in perspective, 3.9 million Georgians voted in the November general elections.

The Constitution (12th Amendment) does not empower Congress to object to Electors’ votes. That is a infringement on states’ rights to appoint Electors & the Electors’ rights to vote. Congress’s power to count is ministerial not judicial.

Since PrideofLincoln was challenging Raumdeuter to a $2k bet, I say Trump has shouldered the bet free of charge. Once again, I am willing to act as escrow for the bet with proceeds going toward the Motherless babies home, although I urge both parties to consider some financial assistance toward Umudike Republicans such as the jobless demmymoney, or toward penis enlargement surgery for LoyalHustler1 as requested.

Jokes aside though, one shouldn't underestimate what a $2k gift to the American people does for Trumps potential run in 2024. Most people who don't give a hoot about politics will remember this and turn out for him in 2024. I remember when I was on the brink of a house purchase in 2014 and UK Conservative Govt reduced stamp duty just prior to the purchase. That saved me a cool £5k which I used to spend Christmas in Cuba that year. From that moment, Conservatives had my support until the elections that took place post-Brexit vite when I supported Liberal Democrats due to their remain stance.

He returned to Nigeria about twenty years ago when Oba Oyekan passed away that he would be the next king and political considerations came in hence the anointment of Oba Akinolu. I met the Oba once in Chicago and once at Iga Idunganran Palace and he looks like a nice man t ok me but a lot of people disagree with me. Just want the country to do better by the citizens because the level of corruption is appalling.

Yeah, most of his children are in Chicago. Did you say 'nice'? Maybe he looks nice....he is not nice rara. We used to scamper to safety whenever he got home from work with his ordelies.
