And it is scriptural to fast before your holy eucharist (whatsoever that means).
Problems of catholicism is teaching philosophies of men than the Bible.

Repeatedly, I’ve said this is the future of Nigeria. Religion ultimately doesn’t make sense. For many it’s only a symbol of cultural affiliation more than anything else.

after all, there are lots of people who don't pay a dime and they still worship in the same church....don't bad-mouth the Catholic Church... I

The church doesn’t force you but when you have to leave your seat to move to the front and those ushers hitting the pews and asking everyone to move ,it is nothing but a subtle pressure valve

Remember that when it comes to burial of loved ones they are very good at calculating levie, building contribution and whatnot that have to be paid

When you compare Catholic Church to others in term of request for donations etc, you will know that catholic dey nice.

Most of us receive Baptism as infants , CATECHISM for HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION AS CHILDREN btw 7 - 12 years of age .
After that , we do little or nothing to grow this Love & Faith in order to continue ascending the Spiritual Ladder . We immerse ourselves in worldly pursuits , academics , intellectual pursuits , professional& careers , & consequently stagnate spiritually , remaining on the lowest rung of the ladder at adulthood, totally disenchanted, without that burning fire of the Holy Spirit .
We really do have a lot to learn & do as Catholics.
It is never too late to start . All it takes , the Will , the decision to start . And it is not done externally but INTERIORLY.

Religion stains whatever it touches. Religion has caused division among senior advocate of Nigeria. Ignoring the problem of religion in this country never manages to push the problem away. Ignoring the problem often compounds the problem until it grows into a mountain .

. An average Christian wishes  everyone is a Christian. An average Muslim wishes everyone becomes a Muslim. Each tries to project his desire to the other. Whenever a Muslim is in power, Christians fear he is on a mission to islamise the country.  Whenever a Christian becomes president, Muslims fear the same.This fear makes it difficult for them to cooperate amicably . Christian trust Christian leaders, Muslims trust Muslim leaders.


Our education system is fueling this saperation.  From primary school, children learn mathematics, English language, Basic science and other languages together. But when it comes to religious studies, Christians are divided from Muslims. This continues until the child finishes secondary school. The school saperates the children as kids and expect them to miraculously work together as adults.

The academia should develop a general religious knowledge curriculum. At an early age, children ought to be introduced to all form of religion outside the religion of their parents. A growing child should have basic knowledge of Christianity, Islam, African Traditional Religion, Buddhism etc.  Limiting him to one knowledge alone create a narrow mind and makes him difficult to tolerate and work with another Religion for which he never knew existed. When we delve into other belief, we become intrigued by the similarities. We become more accepting .


Christian should not wish everyone were a Christian. If everyone thinks alike, the world would be bored. God created us different for a reason . Muslim should wish every Christian develop a greater understanding and acceptance of Islam while remaining firmly within their own Religion.

Christianity is a life that reflects d life of Jesus Christ as reflected in the new testament. Having said that, majority of the scriptures u quoted were d order of the old testament as God does not relate with man in that way again as shown in the new testament. Christianity stem out of the new testament. Alot of the disciples in the old testament where persecuted, killed without picking up weapons to fight back.
Now come to Nigeria and the world in recent time.
How many times have u seen Christians fighting in d name of Jesus ?
How many times have u seen people fighting war and chanting Allah Akhubar?
How many times have u seen Christians fighting or killed an individual who blaspheme with Christ name ? What about in Muslim?
Houses have been burnt, people have been killed in recent times all in the name of d Muslim religion. More 95 percent of terrorist fight defending ur so called prophet and ur religion.
