No worries. All the best mate

Samopex05:

So after several back and forth mails and supplying them with the information they needed, my subject access request is being processed. Thanks for the insight.

I decided not to use my UK contacts anymore since they said my request can be processed using my naija address.

Hi people,

I am trying to fill my visa application form,
I have successfully paid IHS fees through paga and then proceeded to visa application payment.

What exactly do they mean by this information and what should i type. I'm stuck

That a card which would essentially be your visa and it's very important during your stay in UK called BRP card

How do you intend to pick it up, either at a UK post office or your school. Pick the one. If you know where you be staying in uk. You can put the post code and find the closest post office. If you dont have where to stay then pick your school..that who is called your sponsor . Check with your school to give you the ACL code

Please be advised that a decision was made on your visa application today. Your documents and visa decision will now be returned by commercial courier to the visa application centre where you applied (unless you paid for the courier fee in which case it will be returned directly to you). This can take a few days and be subject to unforeseen delays so please wait for the visa application centre to advise you when your documents and decision are ready for collection.
.............
I submitted today and I paid for super priority.. I hope this is good news o.. God have mercy o

In my case, my University USW provided us with ACL code which is the school postcode for picking up the BRP in the Uni.

This topic has come up before ..... but as none of us works in UKVI , it best to play it safe when it comes to giving you an advice..... I would say from personal experience I worked with like 3 people and we used that one with lower rate(524 method) and it was absolutely fine. It never occured to us to even look at the other rate because in my opinion that not how you calulate exchange rate

However both conversation are there and can lead to even UKVI using whichever you think is right or wrong way .... so if i were you . If you dont want to start counting again and use that
Then include a cover letter, Just one page saying you submitting this application based on today's exchange rate on oanda, and include a screen shot in that cover letter (of the 524 only ) ...... that way the case officer knows you are using that exchange rate which is a legitimate conversion rate for that date . Let that cover letter be the first pdf of your bank statement

Thanks Lagosismyhome.

And the money became insufficient on the 35thbday. Can I just count 30 back? That will be more than enough, because rate was around 518. Will that help at all?

I've read a lot about my situation in hours, and I must say you are a GIFT to Nairaland! Thanks Sis

Which of these rates is right? The higher would mean I have to start 28days counting all over, as the fund will fall below required embarassed .

I'm a dependant. Husband already got his Visa.

And other gurus

Please help, don't wanna make a expensive mistake sad grin

What I have done is kept PoF at 540 per pounds then kept another account with about 5000 pounds(naira) in a separate running account still counting 28 days, so if the rate goes beyond my 540 that I lodge I will support with a second account without having to start counting all over again.
So if you have a second account running with some good sum, please add it then no need to restart counting again

It would have been great if someone can count backward ...however the official guidelines states that UKVI use the exchange rate from the day that you submit your visa application to UKVI

So while your 28 days can be anywhere within a month range the rate that will be used is the date of application

So as a caution we advice there that when depositing money you must be aware that the exchange rate can fluctuate so please please put some buffer . If the exchange rate dont favour you then you either wait and be checking daily if it falls , add more money or pay more school fees....but do not apply using faith, hope or other things we Nigerian say ...lol

Lolz...
And I've followed you wella o. The thing flew from 509 to 534 embarassed

Today is 518, do you mean if I submit today, that what will be used counting backwards?? Won't the 533 of 5th affect the calculation?

OR is it that they check each day's rate Vs balance?

Do they use opening or closing balance?

Sorry for the plenty questions... wink

Okay. Bank statements are usually sufficient without the need for reference letters.
I don't have answers to your questions as they aren't applicable to me. You can read up on other comments to get more info of the current payment modes employed.

Thanks

I heard it's the opening balance they use not closing. So the #500k you added along the line may not work, unless you are starting the count from they point.

I'M NOT SURE O. Let's wait for experts to comment.

I added the 500k same day with the main amount. I was advised to add 500k allowances for uncertainties and Naira instability

For your KYC upgrade, you will have to download the Paga Application,

If you experience any difficulty upgrading your account to a higher KYC level via the Paga mobile App, kindly send the following requirements to kyc_ng@paga.com
•Full Name
•Phone number
•Date and place of birth
•Sex

Once again, all inconveniences duly regretted.

Washing, sanitizing your hands and social distancing saves lives.
