He said 445k first term cause of books, uniforms, etc but subsequently, it's 230. adding them up it's around 900+.

madam first term 445k, you will still pay 230k for second term and another 230k for third term making it 1m. Hope you did your calculations well before sending your child there, we no wan hear stories that touch o

pathetic black man generation of fraud and coveteousness. Is this how white man gav you free missionary schools?

Mister. You really need to.expand your knowledge on this matter.

Missionary schools offered very 'basic' education back then akin to literacy or adult education classes today to a people largely illiterate to educational standards not universally accepted or regulated.

My mum was a product of a missionary school. She still had to go to a government institution for recognizable qualifications in teacher training.

The purpose of those missionary schools back then was to enhance church outreaches and activities not necessarily education leading to professional products in diverse fields of endeavor as you have today.

That is why when missionary schools began to get regulated, when their products were subject to external examinations and the candidates themselves aspired for non church professions they had to employ teaching professionals, build proper facilities, obtain proper teaching aids and thus they required funding.

This is where most churches pulled out or struggled to raise funding and in the late 70's government had to step in.

Today some church educational outreaches offer degrees in medicine, law and engineering at the college level. At grade school level students are expected to be competent to sit for NECO, JAMB, SAT, TOEFL, etc. These require high quality preparations. How do you offer all these free in a boarding set up for hundreds and thousands of people each year.

From teaching locals to read so they can study the Bible, preach in English and do simple accounting to producing doctorate degree holders in medicine and engineering is a long way off.

How people can compare such scenarios when the basic purposes are not the same befuddles me.

If someone told me he could prepare my child for JAMB today for next to nothing or qualify him for a degree in law for N50,000 naira per semester, not only should I suspect foul play but I should be thoroughly ashamed if my child was not going to be a pastor or priest, doing God's benevolent work in future.

And it didn’t occur to you that women have their fears too? Some would also gladly sit at home if they find husbands that can shoulder ALL bills without calling them liabilities.

Did it occur to you that some women are the ones training their siblings in school?

Did it occur to you that some have aged parents that need financial support?

Did it occur to you that some have dreams and aspirations? There is a reason their parents sent them to school and they went too.

You don’t need to find an African woman that will feed you without NAGGING. At no point have NIGERIAN men fed their wives without NAGGING or rubbing it in her face. Feeding your own families is what brought about y’all God complex in the first place. I feed her, so I can cheat. I paid her bride price, so I can beat her. Yet when a woman is nice enough to feed you, you can’t bring down your coconut head to be submissive and ENDURE.

I have aunties that were housewives and I know the shît I saw when I visited. There was one they didn’t born well to put on the generator when her husband is not home. Na she buy fuel? She dares not! Yet she was a housewife till she couldn’t take it again, she started a business.

It is about SACRIFICE for most women, but you men are so smart never to put yourselves in that position. Tomorrow when you are ready to fling her out of the house, you will fling her away without spoon sef. Suddenly her caregiving would become immaterial to the family’s success.

Sit your ass home and do it for your kids.

Okay. I've heard you.

It is not a matter of ending the boarding school.

The solution is proper and thorough monitoring.

Blame the foolish, incompetent, antiquated school Management.

If I was running a boarding school I will make sure nothing, I mean nothing even pin from another human being touches my children no matter what.

When I say human being (children that have been polluted by default from their parents).
Since someone is yet to manage them properly should they still be left to continue damaging children? Until the saviour comes

Free...Good. BUT,
How will the teachers be paid.
How will the pupils be fed and housed.
Hiw will electricity and water be provided.
How will security, educational materials and statutory obligations be handled if the school is free.

People say tithes and offerings. What they fail to understand is that there unlike taxes and levies of government, church offerings are not mandatory, are not enforceable and have no fixed rate so income for planning and budgetary purposes is impossible.

Will you have a school open one week when offerings are adequate and closed the next when receipts are paltry.... No institution can successfully run that way.

Then you have the issues of equity. If you make it free for one then it will have to be free for all. Who then will be a church member...the whole world of course. For no man will pay for what he can get free....

Just think about it for a minute and reason out reality. That is why the world has come to an ingenious decision called a scholarship. That enables the inadequate while maintaining equity and reality through set criteria.
Gaskiya, I get you point-blank and I understand those facts. Just that at times I feel there should be a balance somewhere and somehow. It is well.....

you've missed it Completely, the dude was talking about secondary schs and not universities... There are good missionary sec schs here in ilorin that pay 120k per term and they can compete with any of dis so called schs paying 500k... Missionary schs not church owned.... With offerings and tithe coming in I think most of dis schs should be subsidized

Have read alot of comment like yours and I'm fed up. I work in a school and there are standards that's every school will like to meet, hence the cost of tuition fee. When I say standard I mean quality. For crying out loud, DLF fees is very cheap and I wonder the quanlity of services they render. If any of the church members can't afford it, then let them go to schools they can afford. Have a good day.
I understand the 'standard' thing and that is just the truth. Honestly, I just feel for people who WISH but no WILL. I am not particular about DLF but all denominations with standard schools.
Cheers!!

I have a cousin married to a prominent doctor in the east. I needed to print something when visiting their and tried using a small home printer. You need to have seen her fear that I touched it without his permission. She has been married over 25yrs at that point with grown professional kids. Some women are in bondage in Nigeria.

Do you know what tithe means?
A poor man according to IBRD in Nigeria earns around 25k.
The tithe is #2500.

Is that what you want to pay as school fees?

Definitely, all the church members can afford sending their wards to this school cos it is cheap and subsidized by offering and tithes grin grin

Church members don't need to send their wards there.

Rather they need the Job more.

Or how many times have you seen all this Church schools advertising Job slots?

It's inside church they announce and it's mostly their church members they employ!!!
