This almost happened to me when I was learning. A police hilux was right in front of me at a roundabout, there was little traffic so I was driving slowly waiting for them to move before I firedown. One of the policemen noticed I was a learner and he shouted suddenly "hey you stop o, stop o" I was confused and lost concentration, instead of me to apply break I stepped on accelerator and almost hit them from behind. To my surprise they didn't react aggressively, they just warned me to be careful and zoomed off.

oga no blame the guy, almost everybody hit something while learning before you became perfect. It's a way of reviewing what went wrong and correcting it next time. Good thing he is alive and no one was hurt. I believe he must have learnt from what went wrong.
