rottable:Do you do business and you actually need 1m to invest in your business? Dont approach you bank for loan. Ask for a TOD, ie overdraft. The conditions are more flexible that term loan. |

Point of correction!! The King did not borrow money from the bank, but his company. Therefore, he is not indebted to the bank. He is just the chairman of the Oil company, by virtue of being the highest shareholder. |

Focusmind:Banks provide working capital in different forms, not just Import Financing or loans local purchase of raw materials. If the business has good financials and can show evidence of good cashflow (or potential good cashflow), he can be availed an overdraft or other form of working capital Finance which will also be available for operational expenses. I do agree with that he has to be creative in his presentation though. |

We are not surprised with the judgement of the court as regard OBAT indebtedness to ECO bank. Barely 3 years Ago, He was invited and detained by EFCC for financial impropriety and he's particular owning AMCON 16billion naira before his release was secured. Subsequently Sky bank also sued him over indebtedness to the tune of 1.5billion which eventually led to seizure of his Oil storage facilities. There is also a disagreement over a certain payment that was credited to his account which led to a court proceedings between him and a Oil marketer and UBA bank. Despite all this financial improprieties, i wonder why some publication still call him the richest king in Nigeria. And i know as a matter of fact that Obat is still in negotiating with some financial institutions in Nigeria over debt own by him to avoid court litigation. With all this profile of financial indebtedness people are still parading him and wrongly classify him as the richest Monarch in nigeria. Am challenging all these publishers calling him the richest king in Nigeria to now tell us who is the most indebted Monarch in Nigeria. The answer willl still boil down to the same person if properly assessed. Try to avoid creating a negative impression to the public. |
