grin Yesso grin I was delightfully surprised by the Tshirts, dresses and tights (they still usually look good when they don't fit anymore so they go to charity) when I got proven wrong but I can't buy jeans for myself from Primark because that one is premium tears loading. Their jeans, on about 2 occasions, made me feel unwanted draught of cold in the "under world" few weeks after purchase and I just gently stuck to matalan and M&S for my jeans.
My LO's Primark jeans, which usually see loads of rough play, lasts for as long as possible and it still looks good for charity when they grow smaller.
Shoes are also something I wouldn't buy at Primark.

How about newborn wears ooo, where can one get quality and cheap (lol) maternity and newborn items please

Cats go back to areas where they poo to poo again because of they are drawn by the smell of poo....to handle this you have try to prevent them from smelling the poo for at least 3 days...

I tried the cat repellent granules but that didn't work for me...as a naija guy I improvised by mixing water and strong smelling biodegradable detergent+fabric perfumes to soak my garden for a week...they still came in but didnt poo again...garden has been free and fresh for a long time now
Thanks

Hello I tried an experiment this afternoon and here are my findings(wetin boredom dey cause grin)

Note, I'm 12days old in the UK

Title of experiment : Currency conversion
Aim : To convert naira to pounds via cryptocurrency exchange
Procedure:
Monzo account was opened on Saturday (online) I'm still in isolation. Debit card arrived this morning and got activated

Nigeria verified binance account was funded with 15k, since it was an experiment the account was funded trice with 5k each transaction in order to meet the minimum transaction requirements

Btc was purchased with ₦ and exchanged for £

Withdrawal from my binance wallet to Monzo account
Total of £21.81 was received

Major transaction costs
To fund 5k, 150 naira charge, I did that 3 times
(Minimum 150naira max 18million)
Withdrawal charge £1.5

That is it!
Do you think it's worth it?
Started out with 15k, got £21.81
What do you think?
Please does anyone know how to exchange naira for bitcoin without using p2p on binance?

Gurus in the house should please help... What to do?

With the pandemic in place, School says BRP can't be picked up on the appointment date and they say the wait is indefinite.

So, a quick question... How can one process a dependent visa for the spouse without the brp?

Mind you, 28 days is already counting and should become valid by early February.

Every input is valid and appreciated.
use your visa

Select fiat
Look for NGN
Trade your naira for btc

Check Matalan, they are currently on sales and deliver within 15 days for sales items. They've got nice quality items. The George range by Asda is equally good too. Primark (though currently closed) is good for kid's wears and my LO has had some Primark stuff for about 2-3 years without issues.
In terms of dresses, Tshirts and tights, Primark products perform as well as other brands based on my experience. In terms of jeans trousers for kids, it performs just as well as other brands. In terms of jeans trousers for adults, Primark rips in the bum area (between the thighs) faster than Matalan/M&S brands while Primark cotton/office trousers do just as well as other brands but this can also be dependent on usage.
Just wash whatever brand you buy with a low temperature and the recommended setting while also using colour and dirt collectors in your wash to preserve the quality and increase length of time it's used for.

I no go lie, I respect this your write up. Chai, e b like professional shopper review. U even know where brands de for fade and tear. Thanks I really appreciate.

Please make me understand, how come your conversation rate is even higher than naira to pounds market rate. I thought it's meant to be a cheaper means.

@5gee @Tobexin @Flinton,

I think a better way would be depositing naira, then buying Busd, then using it to buy Bitcoin or any other coin. Busd is binance own dollar and it’s lesser than USDT and also gives you that balance calculation for your dollar to Bitcoin. That naira own de be like cheating if you calculate an reach ground.

Also someone suggested Resolut bank to me here and it’s actually a good one. They are familiar with Crypto and offer their own package too for crypto. Tho I don’t intend to use them for crypto (at least not now) but being familiar with Cryptocurrency means they will understand the payment that comes in from the payment channels and not give you wahala that can be possible from these other banks that don’t believe in Cryto. I know say most banks don de come in now, but no be person money them go hold and use learn crypto as HBSC de do people.

And for the person that thought of creating a platform like this, God go direct that person to the whole Nigerian governance issue to solve.

Thanks guys, una just make this relocation thing be like vacation.

its become so hard to get a job here in the UK, I am talking about a menial job, despite the many applications I have sent through indeed and total jobs platform, its so frustrating. I am well aware of the pandemic and the impact it has had on many families in the UK ,which has forced them to look for all kinds of jobs, This situation has made the search for job a tough and competitive one. I need advice on what to do. thanks.

Have you applied for care or warehouse jobs?
You can still search those job's on Reed.co.uk
Other jobs like Security /construct jobs requires a licence.

I thought I am the only one having this issue.

However, story changed a little when I started calling and sending the direct care homes and agency call.

Where is your location and how long have you stayed in the UK?

You can try Primark, they are cheap and since babies outgrow cloths fast, it won't hurt your pocket. For maternity wears, try ASOS or H&M.
You can also look out for sales as you'll get quality clothes for less and almost at same price at Primark's. Matalan sales are currently about 50%, you can check to see if you find something that suits you from there.

No be lie oooo. Both professional and menial job it is hard this time due to pandemic so ideally this not the best time to relocate and if you must then you just have to be as fluid as possible from your home country as a backup plan

That been said, try to target local job agencies close to where you live for like care, warehouse etc . If you know someone in that area who done similar they might have some agencies numbers

Have you tried NHS? Several temp roles are open for the vaccination program with 7 vaccination pods going live today. Check for suitable roles here: https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/
https://www.healthjobsuk.com/
Note that you've got to sell yourself in the supporting statement part of your application (in line with the JD) for you to get shortlisted.
You should also check your council website for job openings.

You can also check Next clearance. They’ve got good deals atm. New items are added every morning but don’t just put items in your cart and leave ‘em cos someone else will take it before you say Jack Robinson.
