Hello Everyone. Wow! Its been ages I found myself in here. I am glad this thread is still alive and helping people on their Visa Journey. Life and work has been great in General. Being careful with the Covid too. America is no joke ooo. Barely have time for myself, as I work round the clock. God is good and has been keeping us safe from this pandemic. How's everyone coping with their visa journey, and hope the covid, is not slowing things down. I have some time now as I am on vacation from now till the end of the year. Hopefully I would pop into the thread from time to time. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year everyone.

Its Not been easy at all with work and kids. I swear America is a different ball game with what we see in Hollywood. You do everything on your own. I have to keep up with 3kids and my mom and work.. Thank God I have her. After work or the weekend she and my step-dad help me with the kids, but as an African daughter. I still Play my mother and daughter role when I am home from work. That i have the time to check social media and even remember nairaland is because I am off work from now till the new year. Fixed my vacation for the end of the year. So its eat, sleep and take care of my family. Till Jan 4.

Guys, it looks like everything is going to be lame duck, so good news to immigrants from Africa and esp Nigerians.

CR1 guys are getting interview dates and folks are being rescheduled.

With January 2021 bulletin having 08Oct06, someone with PD of 20Nov06 and DC in Oct 2019 will likely get an appointment (F4) when? Bearing in mind every other thing.

We certainly can't make any predictions right now until it's confirmed that family based preference categories is been Scheduled for Interviews from January . Then we can start making predictions....

It means all priority dates before Sep15 2014 are current for your category and area are current.
By now you should have gotten the 'welcome letter' from NVC asking you to start their process. Details of what to do are in the letter.
Your sponsor should have gotten the letter by now or if you had updated them with your email as contact then you would have gotten the letter via email.

Table A is mainly for those who have gone through with documentation, expecting DC, interview date or still documenting, having interview date. Table A also is for being current for interview. Those current under table B are different. Theirs is being current for documentation.

No not yet, we're yet to pay fees and upload supporting documents. We're 4 and 1 of my sibling is expecting his letter soon so we'll just upload it same time and hopefully have our interview at the same time
I'll definitely share an update when theres any progress

my siblings too aged out but thank God for cspa. We had to challenge the aging out using child status protection act. If you don't challenge it, they just make you go through f2b.

My brother migrated to usa at age 23 using f2a, and his i130 was approved in just 5 months.

How do one challenge it?

provided you were under 21 when your i130 was submitted, there is a high chance that you will qualify under cspa. Those eligible are children of citizen, permanent resident and some others I can't remember right now. The cspa subtracts the months your case was pending from your actual age. In my brother's case,
his priority date was 16 may 2016
his 21st birthday June 2016
Uscis approval October 2016.
Date of filing became current October 2017
When this info was supplied to cspa calculator he was like 20 years and 9 months or there about.

When welcome letter came in October 2017 for he and my sister, they automatically placed him in f2b because he had aged out. After confirming that he had little more time with cspa, we called nvc and made them aware that he was eligible under cspa ( that is you challenging them). We initially went to a lawyer that told us nothing can be done, that was when we started making our research. It was at nvc they gave us the procedure to write them which we did. They responded after six weeks and confirmed that he was protected under cspa. So subimition of document followed swiftly.
