Dear Nairalanders,

I am a member of this family but just opened a new account to hide my identity.

Can I get a candid advice if it is wrong having a second wife?

I am married but somehow there is this other woman in my life that I love but can't just let go despite my efforts to keep her out of my life.

My heart always yearns for her despite the fact that I know such could hurt my wife and I won't be happy either if my wife has an affair too but I just can't move on without her in my life.

It's not a matter of being sleeping around but it's just that I love her and want to have her as a wife and I no doubt love my wife and the mother of my kids too.

I will provide details on how we got into a relationship in due course.But at a time my wife and I were separated for about 4 years which was the time I started dating this my girlfriend but please is it wrong, unusual or abnormal to love two women at the same time and have two wives?

I am just confused and indecisive.

Please,advice, especially from married men here and counsellors.

There is nothing wrong in loving more than one woman.
REMEMBER, we are created in God's image and God loves everyone.

The bible says in 1John 4:7-8 that "...anyone who loves is of God and knows God, but he that loves not, knows not God because God is love.

Love is not what you give to one person....you will suffocate the person, you will smother the person, you will appear very needy, you'd be extremely possesive, you'd be very protective and extremely jealous....these features will make you unattractive and very repulsive to that person.
This is when love backfires and and keeps the lover at the mercy of the loved.

The trick is to spread the love.
When you spread this love around several women, your emotions and heart become as balanced as an articulated Dangote trailer, which can run perfectly even if one tyre goes bad.

This is why the bible says in Songs Of Solomon that "you should not awaken love until it is it's time".
This is because love is very dangerous.
It is a like a very high voltaged current that can only be stepped-down by sharing it amongst many women.

That is why ladies love men who do not give them attention but despise the one who gives an overdose of this...because they feel his love is too much for only them to handle; they'd rather cope with the one who has just a little to spare.

The reason women go after men who have many women in their lives is the same reason women fight other women for men.
Everybody values rationed and scarce supplies.

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with having 2 wives if you can cope with the stress.

As for me I cannot tie myself to just one toto for the rest of my life...once I bang the same toto contiously for 6 months I get tired of it

Marriage is an individual choice and not a collective one. The government has no business regulating how I use my genital.  It is mine and mine alone.  I decide who I choose to get married to . I can decide to share it with a single person or a married person.  It is  my freedom to choose to be a celibate or be married.   While married, I decide with my partner whether to make it open relationship or monogamy.

Marriage is not for everyone. There are people who are happier single. I mean those who are do introverted that they cannot tolerate a very long time without feeling drained. There are people who prefer long distance relationship with few visits and frequent absence rather than continued presence.  those whose high attention sexual urge cannot be satisfied by any one individual. There are others who dislike the boredom of sticking to one  partner scares the hell out of them. Variety is the spice of life.The fun of experimenting with various sizes and  types thrills them. There are yet another group whose need for independence and freedom makes them dislike the idea of  consulting with another before making decision.  There is another group that  love to be in motion. They wake up one morning and decide to relocate to another state only to explore another culture the next year. Traveling is their hobby and getting married with kids hinders that . Settling down is like a death trap. Flowing water is cleaner. Stagnant water attracts mosquitoes and other microorganism.

Human needs are various. the concept of getting married does not fit into their ideal future. They are better off single or in an open relationship. imposing  monogamy marriage on them will choke them. Their partner and children would suffer . Cheating is bound to occur. The fact that cheating still exist means we should question the effectiveness of monogamy and possibility of open marriage.

Investment experts would advice you never to put all your eggs in one basket to mitigate against risk. Economic  expert suggest diversification and not depending on only crude oil. Why don’t we  Apply  the same analogy to our own emotional life.   Risk is mitigated when we stop expecting one person to be our confident, sexual satisfier ,friend, mother of children etc. Can we consider open marriage and celibacy as alternative to monogamy

A man has the heart to love more than one woman to be compared with women who have only one love to give at a time

If you can't keep her as a mistress then inform your wife about getting married to her and watch her response

But be ready to deal with whatever the out come may be

Having two women has its own disadvantages

Just like dealing with two unknown angles

If you can endure what goes with it then follow your heart, but make sure you check your BP regularly

The only problem with poligamy is that there are more disadvantages than it's advantages. Don't think only of yourself and your desires. Think of the greater good.


Anytime I talk to people who were brought up in poligamy, their experience is always terrible. Most people on NL are small children without experience, if you follow these advice, be sure you may regret it. Please delete that woman from your mind and move on with your family. A word is enough

Loving more than one woman is part of your fundamental human right as a man....infact as a man you deserve to have more than one woman in your life......never allow a single woman to make you think otherwise
