DamZik:My immediate younger sister who is resident in Abuja just recovered from Corona. She was very symptomatic, and at a point we were worried. Two of her friends and their husbands have also had it and recovered. I believe they all gave it to each other by attending some kind of get together. However, having said that, I still believe the figures are heavily inflated. 1 Like |

*WHY WORRIES, WHEN THEIR
CHILDREN ARE NOT SCHOOLING IN
NIGERIA?*
I WANT TO ENCOURAGE ALL PRIVATE
SCHOOL/ TEACHER ASSOCIATIONS TO
STAND UP AND REJECT THE
EXTENSION OF SCHOOL OPENING,
COVID-19 IS NOT OUR PROBLEM.
GOVERNMENT IS NOT ADDING ANY
THING TO PRIVATE EDUCATION IN
NIGERIA, WE ARE THE ONLY PRIVATE
SECTOR THAT IS NOT RECEIVING
GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL SUPPORT,
WHY CARING FOR US NOW?
WHY CLOSING SCHOOLS AND ALLOW
MARKETS, HOTELS,
AIRPORTS,OFFICES, ETC. TO
FUNCTION?
PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS ARE BEING
PAID EVEN STAYING AT HOME,BUT,
NO BODY CARES ABOUT OUR
CONDITIONS, LOANS, TEACHERS,
CHILDREN AND FAMILY MEMBERS.
WE MUST PROTECT OUR BUSINESS
AND LIFE NOW.
MORE THAN 156 PRIVATE SCHOOL
OWNERS DIED DURING THE LAST
LOCK DOWN, MORE THAN 75,000
TEACHERS QUIT THE SECTOR AND
MORE THAN 1.2 MILLION CHILDREN
ARE NO LONGER INTERESTED IN
GOING TO SCHOOL AFTER BEING AT
HOME FOR 6 MONTHS.
HOW CAN, THE GOVERNMENT BE IN
THE COMFORT OF THEIR OFFICES AND
TAKE LIFE RISKING MEASURES
WITHOUT PROPER CONSULTATIONS
AND NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE
SOCIETY.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
WE MUST SAVE THE FUTURE OF THIS
NATION NOW.
PRIVATE EDUCATION CAN NOT BE
KILLED IN NIGERIA.
SCHOOLS MUST OPEN 18TH.
NOTE: POST ON ALL EDUCATIONAL
PLATFORMS. |
