The Son bears witness of the Father and the Father bears witness of the Son.

The Son is the Father's witness and the Father is the Son's witness...

and the Son = the Father, therefore, the Son is correct when He says He bears witness of Himself...

*. John 8:18 "
KJV:I am one that BEAR WITNESS OF MYSELF, and the FATHER that sent me BEARETH WITNESS OF ME."

The Father bear witness of His son, you dey learn anything in that statement?
You done forget you say Jesus his son is your Jehovah?

Nice write-up I must commend you but you didn't still show me where Jesus said he was God or where this ‘Trinity’ is located in the Bible yet?

I do not really understand why trinitarians like hovering over inconsequential details.
@John chapter 8, Jesus Christ and the Pharisees were having a little feud over who really was doing the will of God(John 8:41)
Now why would they be having this discussion if Jesus was already God?
Jesus said those words to prove that he had existed before Abraham, not that he was God. John 8:58, Revelation 3:14
After all, angel Gabriel and the rest of the angels in heaven will also say the same thing that they existed before Abraham and they would be correct because they were present when the earth was being created. Job 38:7

The Scriptures give quite a number of definitions to the meaning of “heavens”. Genesis 1:8, Deuteronomy 26:15, Ephesians 6:12
I am not new to this sir.

I like to read NKJV....in Genesis 1:8...the letter H is in capitals.

Do you also know that “earth” has more than one meaning?

Read Acts 2:29,34 from your Bible please. The aforementioned people died, and returned to the dust of the ground. Psalm 146:4, Ecclesiastes 3:20

Ps.146.4 - His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.

Where does the bolded above go to?

Eccl.3.21 - Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?

None of them are qualified for heavenly life so they will remain in the dust until the day of resurrection. Acts 24:15

Matt.27.52 - and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
Matt.27.53 - and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

In the above where did the raised bodies of the saints go?

After all, Isaiah 26:19 said that those who will be resurrected in the future in earth are “residents in the dust” or those who “dwell in the dust” would be resurrected. Compare John 5:28,29

Luke.23.40 - But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?
Luke.23.42 - Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."
Luke.23.43 - And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise

What does the bolded mean? Remember this happened prior to His death and resurrection.

Ps.146.4 - His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.
Where does the bolded above go to?

According to Genesis 2:7, man doesn't have a soul, rather he is a soul with the breath of life in his nostrils. This ‘spirit’ simply refers to the breath of life. Compare Job 27:3 KJV
So at one's death, he himself returns to the dust of the earth while his breath of life returns to God. Ecclesiastes 12:7

Eccl.3.21 - Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?

If the ‘spirit’ in humans is a person then what about the animals in that verse? Do they also have personal spirits when they die? Of course not. The animals, along with humans all have the same force that makes them to be breathing creatures(souls). Compare Genesis 7:22

Matt.27.52 - and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
Matt.27.53 - and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
In the above where did the raised bodies of the saints go?

That Bible passage wasn't talking about the resurrection. Immediately Jesus let up his breath and expired, an earthquake occurred to prove that the man whom they had just murdered had divine backing. Matthew 27:54
The earthquake was so powerful that it tore through the crags of the burial sites/tombs and so passers-by saw that the earthquake revealed the newly buried corpses and when they entered into Jerusalem, they reported what they saw to others.
If it was really resurrection that occurred, then the other Gospels should have also noted it but no, resurrection was something to occur in the future. 1Thessalonians 4:16, Revelation 20:12

Luke.23.40 - But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?
Luke.23.42 - Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."Luke.23.43 - And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise

The Jewish criminal by the side of Jesus must have heard upbuilding reports about the man(Jesus) who was impaled next to him so since he observed the Jews clamouring for the death of such a righteous man, he knew that genuine prophets of God had faced a similar fate. Matthew 23:35, Mark 6:4

That spurred him to put faith in Jesus and he made a request to Jesus to remember him in his Kingdom but Jesus corrected the notion he had and promised that he would be favourably remembered and resurrected on Paradise earth.
So Jesus didn't hold out the same promise to this man that he had made to his disciples earlier about being kings and judges in God's Kingdom. Matthew 19:28, Luke 12:32, John 14:1-3

Why do we say so?

About 3years earlier, when Jesus met with Nicodemus, he explained that one must first be born-again i.e. baptized in water and chosen by holy spirit as an adopted son of God before such a person can rule in God's Kingdom. John 3:3-6
The person would then be brought into a covenant(agreement) with God for a kingdom. (Luke 22:28-30, Revelation 1:6) provided he remains faithful til death. 2Peter 1:10

The man at his side hadn't gone through any of these processes so he's not qualified for heavenly life, rather he'll be resurrected in the future as an unrighteous person alongside billions of other humans. Acts 24:15, Revelation 20:12

Bros, you are entitled to your opinion, thanks !
In your opinion, my belief "Jesus is NOT God Almighty is wrong, but you are here telling Janosky to continue preaching "Jesus Christ is the son of God" grin grin grin grin.
Can't you see your contradiction?

Your God is a servant of whom?

Please point to where the contradiction lies......

God Almighty....noted.
The opinion that gets entitled is that which corresponds to the word of God.

A son cannot be a servant of his father except he is illegitimate.

Matt.3.17 - And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

If the Father referred to Jesus as His son and not his servant who am I to say differently.

We should try to understand the context of words as used in the Scripture.

Thanks.
God's blessing.

All Servants are creatures of the true God.

Only the true God, Yahweh, is not a Servant to anyone.
Every other being exist to do his bidding.

In the old testament, Jesus is "angel of Yahweh" (often called "angel of the Lord"wink.
Job38:7 & Revelation 22:16, Jesus Christ is a morning Star ("angel"wink.. go figure grin grin

There is a very huge difference, sir. The Bible made mention of God having several spirit sons(angels) apart from Jesus. Job 38:7, Psalm 104:4
This implies that they are always to carry out God’s will and command i.e. be his servants. Psalm 103:20, Hebrews 1:7

But some angels(sons of God) chose to rebel against God and they ceased being his servants. Genesis 6:2, Jude 6, Revelation 12:4,7

All of this because they can exercise a measure of free-will gifted to them by God.

However, Jesus Christ is the only-begotten(firstborn) Son of God(John 3:16, Colossians 1:15-16) chose to subject himself to his God and Father by zealously doing his will and thereby making him God’s servant. Psalm 40:8, Isaiah 42:1

Unlike the demons(rebellious spirit sons) who bring reproach on God’s holy name through their persistent disobedience, Jesus chose to remain a faithful, loyal and obedient servant even until death. Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 5:8

Jesus is not Almighty God.. in your opinion, wrong.
Jesus is son of God, right.
God Almighty is son of God... Contradiction..

Acts 3:13.. the same Greek word means "son/servant".

servant
Παῖδα (Paida)
Noun - Accusative Masculine Singular
Strong's Greek 3816: Perhaps from paio; a boy, or, a girl, and a child; specially, a slave or servant

Matthew 12:15-18. Isaiah 42:1.. Jesus Christ is Jehovah's Servant.

Apostle Paul was addressing the resurrection of those who would be going to heaven(Philippians 3:21)and according to the Bible, it would be a “little flock” of anointed Christians numbering into a 144,000 total. Luke 12:32 see Revelation 14:1-5 also.

The contradiction occurred because you gave an interpretation of what I did not say

And I do not think I did a typo error.

Your argument is Jesus is not God.

To emphasize your point you said Jesus is not the Almighty God.

Such is used for our understanding since the original language needed to be interpreted into english.

The names of God:

YHWH.
El.
Eloah.
Elohim.
Elohai.
El Shaddai.
Tzevaot.
Jah.

It is from this Hebrew words that we get our translation into english.

God is God. The God Almighty. The LORD GOD Almighty. The LORD GOD. The Alpha and Omega.
The I AM. The Lord of hosts.

Acts 3:13.. the same Greek word means "son/servant". Yes a word can have 2 meaning but depending on the context of the sentence it finds itself. It cannot never be interchanged in the same sentence.

servant
Παῖδα (Paida)

Strong's Greek 3816: Perhaps from paio; a boy, or, a girl, and a child; specially, a slave or servant

I understand your views and it will be hard to even reason with you. Many a times we have been given wrong interpretation towards certain portions of the Scriptures and we tend to use certain words which are not not even written as God's word or having a scriptural backing.

In order for one to learn he has to unlearn but with caution.

No matter the arguments what's most important that those who are called by God and of God are to preach the undiluted word of God that Christ Jesus is the Son of God, He died and is ressurrected to the remission of the sins of man and only those who believe in Him by faith(wholly not partial) will receive the free gift of salvation. And all our worship to Him should be in truth and in spirit because that's the only way we can get to please Him.

As regards the bold there's no portion in the Scripture that says that. Even though people say it or use it in teaching.

English language is tricky. Try looking into 13th century English and 21st century english.
Do you not think there's a difference between 'a servant of' and a 'servant unto'?
Anyways even man was upgraded from being a servant to as Jesus said 'a friend of God and a son of God. A servant cannot be a heir till he is made a son of the household.[/quote

From the Word, THE UNIQUE GROUP NAME is
CHILDREN OF GOD and what qualifies them is that
THEY NOLONGER COMMIT SIN:
*. 1 John 3:10 "
KJV:Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8
KJV:He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9
KJV:Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10
KJV:In this THE CHILDREN OF GOD are manifest, and the children of the devil: WHOSOEVER DOETH NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, neither he that loveth not his brother."

they are scattered all over the groups... but they maintain the same lifestyle despite their different earthly group

No group on Earth can have all it members in the kingdom

Born again (John 3:3,7; 1 Peter 1:23) = born of God ( 1 John 5:18) = born of the Spirit ( John 3:v8)= new life in Christ( Romans 4:6)

If you are not born of God then you are born of the devil ( this is my understanding of 1 John 3:7- 10)

Do you think that this teaching of a “little flock” and “144,000 bought from the earth” started with the New Testament?

No. In fact, the vision that Daniel saw in the chapter 7 of his book sheds light on this long before Jesus made that statement in Luke 12:32.
So Jesus was saying that his apostles and others would be given a Kingdom and he was only reiterating and expatiating more on Daniel 7:27

The JPS Tanakh(directly translated from the Masoretic text) puts Daniel 7:27 this way:

“And the kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; their kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey them.'

This tallies with Jesus' statement at Luke 12:32(NASB)
“Do not be afraid, little flock[144,000 holy ones], because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.

It also tallies with the vision given to John at Revelation 7:1-8.
The highlight of the matter is that a few(144,000) would be given the Kingdom to be kings, judges and priests over the earth. Revelation 20:6

If every righteous person is to be in heaven, why does Hebrews 2:5(Amplified) mention a coming inhabited earth? Why does Revelation 5:10 says that some would rule over the earth?
The Bible is clear that the earth is mankind's home forever and countless billions doing God's will are going to inhabit and live forever on it. Psalm 37:29, Isaiah 45:18

Most of you just feel like the accurate knowledge isn't necessary. You just want to run to heaven but you have zero idea about the assignment of those going there entails.

Yes that is your own understanding. Being “born again” is not a criteria for salvation as Jesus explained at John 3:16. Exercising faith in Jesus Christ is a choice that one has to make after taking in accurate knowledge of God and his Son. John 17:3

However, to be “born again” or “born from above” is not a choice one makes by himself. He has to be invited and chosen by God. Matthew 22:14, John 1:11,12

Mr KNOWMORE56, please did you have any say/choice when you were to be conceived and born as a human being? If you didn’t, what makes you think being ‘born from God’ or ‘born from above’ is a choice that one can make willy-nilly?

Do you think that this teaching of a “little flock” and “144,000 bought from the earth” started with the New Testament?

One of the things that is so clear to me from the word is the word WHOEVER as found in many places in the Word...

In my own understanding of Daniel 7:27

"KJV:And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him."

Jesus and the raptured saints will come to the earth physically and take rulership from the world president ( the anti-christ)
and they will rule for 1,000 years "
and all dominions shall serve and obey him/them."

After the Great White Throne Judgement, all the people who belong to God shall be in the same place, enjoying the same thing... revelation 21:1-8

*. Verse 3 "KJV:And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and GOD HIMSELF SHALL BE WITH THEM, and BE THEIR GOD."

Apart from Muslims who spitefully opposes the phrase "Children of God" all the religious groups on this planet are claiming Children of God even Guru Maharaj and you can also try Osun/ Ogun/ Obatala/ Sango/ Oya/ Ifa/ Osanyin and so on all these groups strongly believe they're sons and daughters of God! cheesy
And there is no difference between their attitude individually and people from all other religions (including Jehovah's Witnesses) the only thing that distinguish JWs from all other religious groups is the LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, GOODNESS, GENTLENESS, FAITH, MILDNESS and SELF-CONTROL reigning in their midst {Galatians 5:22-23} apart from that humans are humans everywhere.
Jesus promised that God's holy spirit will help his own followers to be unique not individually because nice people can be found in all religious groups as well as wicked people but within the GROUP where Holy Spirit is working the whole world will notice a striking distinction! Matthew 5:13-16 smiley

KNOWMORE56:

Ohh but I thought you're of the opinion that all good people go to heaven? Where is this one coming from again? Mr KNOWMORE56 seek the accurate knowledge of the truth so that you won't be swindled by false teachings. John 8:32, Ephesians 4:14
There is no such thing as personal interpretation/opinion of the scriptures. 2Peter 1:20. The truth is only ONE. Ephesians 4:3-6
Seek the truth now so that you might be amongst the millions of men and women on earth who will enjoy the blessings listed at Revelation 21:1-5.

It's God's plan, then my parents worked in that direction of His plan;
in the 2nd birth, still God's plan, individual walk/work in that direction shall have it granted to him/her.

The idea of the rulership/rulers should be in a different country/city is not in God's plan FOR GOD HIMSELF SHALL BE WITH THEM revelation 20:3
"KJV:And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and GOD HIMSELF SHALL BE WITH THEM, AND BE THEIR GOOD."

Okay. Check your inbox then.

I know. Some interpretation tend to be taken literally while some have some of spiritual insights.
We are all learning.
The most important thing is that let us not miss our ticket to heaven or paradise as the case may be. The race is not who knows it all or who is first or last but the one whom God has appointed through His Son Jesus Christ.
