What these people ought to do is make NIN registration available in hospitals , so as a child is birthed, he gets registered. But no way. They’ll say until he gets to 18 years. Olodo old fools calling themselves leaders. What’s so difficult in making this registration an online thing and you get what you want from the comfort of anywhere you are.

Which one is LASRA again nítorí olórun? This one that is sounding like something out of a Sci-Fi movie.

Sane Nigerians have been too critical of the government's activities of late, including the end SARS scandal.

I guess they need something to punish Nigerians and also keep you busy from noticing their uselessness.
cheesy cheesy.. LASRA is for only those residing in Lagos.

They want mass registration at the same period they are implementing Covid-19 safety protocols.
I blame the losers that cannot wait to jump as soon as the confused lot in government say so.

It looks like the second round of protest na through NIMC.

Meanwhile any network provider that disconnects my sim card should be ready to see me in a UK Court and not Nigeria.

I had the chance to do Lasra but I was tired on that day and wasn't in the mood to queue. Till today I didn't go back. Any day I'm idle I will go and do it. Like you said, who knows, one day it might turn out useful.

The plan is simple, get as many nigerians infected as quickly as possible, so that they can collect covid19 loans and vaccines from China. The govt is using its people, smart people should stay away from such places.

For those of us that refused to register, when will they start disconnecting our lines

We are many and we are waiting for them. Of all the troubles in my life now, I should add NIN to it?

What's funny is I registered since like 2004. I still have the old ID card. I remember they took my fingerprints using paper. Lol. I'm actually not surprise I don't have NIN. grin

Anyway, I'm not going to stress myself like I did during the BVN registration. You can ask yourself how that went.

If the government like let them disconnect my phone lines, the real issue is whether the telecoms company are ready to lose that much subscribers given this new directive.

Let's watch and see how it'll play out.
The sequence number behind your old card is your NIN.
Use it and link it to ur sim, stop stressing yourself unnecessarily

They have to be crazy. In Warri, you either pay 5k and join the queue or no NIN number for you

They're confused. I had Access to the official app Via the BVN-generated NIN. Conversely, my wife who got her NIN via Nimc printout cannot log in to the app.
Please how do you go about with the BVN generated NIN?

It's just like what one Twitter user said in the OP above.

When you buy a sim card you register it. Your picture is taken and even your biometrics. It's the same with Voters ID card and the likes.

Now what stops this incompetent NIMC to liaz with the telecoms company, INEC or even the banks since these people have the data of many Nigerians and ask them to submit the data they have and cross reference it and the likes. Then allocate NIN and send it to the subscribers phone numbers or ask them to use a code to check it like it's done with BVN.

I'm sure you know they won't do this because they like the hard way, the only way.

PS: I know I make sense that's one of the reason you like me. grin kiss
If they do that there would be no Money allocation to the project, no contract hence thwse long Israelite route

NIMC is just trying to feel important! Linking phone lines to NIN should be easy. But incompetence inspire by Buhari and hoods of idiots will always make everything difficult

You do have NIN. At the back of the card, you will see the 11- digit number under (Seq.Number). That is your NIN. Thereafter, you can link it to your network service provider.

I can't wrap my head around this. What is the urgency about this NIN? Of all the things bedeviling us, these people are focusing on NIN. Sick people.

Honest, I think it goes beyond ordinary SIM identification. Remember that America banned Nigerians from applying for immigrant visas over poor identification complaints. I honestly think all of this is somehow tied to that. Call me a conspiracy theorist but why is the deadline Jan 19th, one day before the new US administration takes office?

They are trying to keep us busy with it. Since the NIN wahala, Nigerians hardly have time to complain about other things.
