Great write up.

Op like how long will it take for someone to master any of the programming?
Secondly, how much is involved in learning any of the programming

I have a ton of tutorials on Web development and Python, I learnt these to an extent but I lost interest.
I am a fvcking computer science student.

Maybe if school resumes, I will get back at it though.
It's boring and tiring when you learn alone. I haven't written a code in months. My computer is now for watching movies. I am tired of this world and it's problems sef.

There's nothing I haven't dabbled in.
I have tried beat making. I currently have a beat making software on my computer, but I don't learn it anymore.

I have Android studio installed, but I don't learn with it anymore.

I have pycharm installed, but I don't use it anymore.

I have C++ compiler installed, but I don't learn with it anymore.

I have blender installed, but I don't learn animation making anymore.

I have eclipse installed, but I haven't opened it for months.

Then I created 5 blogs, but I lost interest.

I find what you said about PHP faulty. It is guys like you that discourage a lot of folks not to learn it. Talking about how PHP is fading and relatively easy like HTML which is faraway from the truth.
As long as website remains, PHP isn't going nowhere.

Here's a survey for you to stop that blasphemy against PHP

I design efficient and scalable web application with PHP. So I'll support the motion for beginners to begin their backend journey with PHP, MySQL, html and css. The journey has been tough but as a tough man, the journey keeps getting smoother.

My advice for anyone new is to learn.

Level:1 Front-End
HTML
CSS
Boostrap
Javascript
React

Level:2 Server-Side
PHP
Or
Java Servelets
Or
C#

Then create an e-commerce web application which looks nice and host it online to showcase your skills to employers and I can gaurantee that you will get a programming job in no time.

I agree with most of what you said especially the uploading of your own projects. Buy domain name (only like $5 per year), pay for hosting services or work your way around it using free hosting plaforms and showcase your skills to your propective clients. Github works perfectly for me as you don't have to buy a domain name self.

But last last in order to create an eye catching project one has to have been well grounded in his/her skills unfortunately before then many beginner's programmers go don lose motivation.

The basics.
I'd recommend you download the sololearn app on play store or use w3schools.com, you can as well use both concurrently, this is to get grounded in the fundamentals.
Then download this popular Ebook "Eloquent JavaScript"..
Then YouTube to clear up grey areas.

You need more wisdom that's all, there is emotional intelligence you need, you cannot be tired, wat you need is perhaps organization, and perspective, why don't you create meaning. I have leant to organize my thoughts like a database, it helps for people that do a lot, so you are not over whelmed and for the thought of money, just enjoy programming and keep learning, money will come if it will come.

Always rest and sometimes you may need to focus on particular areas, for some time.

When you stretch your area of coding so quickly, you may quickly get bored, and the fatigue will lead to disinterest, Like a stack, build one layer on top of another and let the value of the stack be useful or applied and trust me, you will keep learning and want to know more.

I accept my own bluff. Maybe my inclination to Python/JavaScript combo made me talk down on PHP. I never really took much time to learn the language but I still feel majority of the newer web developers are going to be limiting PHP in the future for JavaScript (with Node.js the major trend now), Python (Django is just too quick and fast to build web applications with).

Don't get me wrong, I know aln

Where I am currently based in is of little importance IMO.

If your brother's son is still young then get him the right materials like Laptop, data/Internet connection, and enrol him to an introductory course on Udemy or Coursera to begin with.

That's only if the "boy" is interested in learning any of this cos you can force knowledge on someone who doesn't want it.

Self learning at one's own pace is my general recommendation but if he is too young to learn on his own then you can employ a physical tutor or take him to any popular/efficient coding academy/boot camp around your area. GRACIAS

While I was a newbie programmer myself, I dabbled into almost every aspect of software development: mobile app (learnt Kotlin a bit using Android Studio), web development (struggled with PHP at first) then AI/Machine learning (with Python)'

That's the mistake most newbies find themselves in: trying to learn everything instead of picking just one aspect and aspiring to master it. Well I finally passed my "Tutorial hell" stage and stuck with Python.

Now I do virtually everything with python from Web designing (Django) to AI and Data Science.

Your Kotlin pick for Android mobile app development makes sense to me.
How far have you gone? Have you finished any of your projects yet?

Hello, were you self tutored as a beginner or you took classes from IT learning centers?

There's not going to be any limiting anywhere. Programming Languages are evolving and no one is staying put including PHP. PHP just released 8.0 coupled with existing frameworks. Trust me, Node.js ain't touching that survey anytime soon. A lot of countries and businesses are heavily invested in PHP.

If I am to add to this start your Backend with PHP
Because of Wordpress...

I am a freelancer I know both Nodejs and PHP
But PHP has given me more money...

It earns me more during COVID 19 lockdown
I design website for people with Wordpress and I customize it with PHP...

It’s just my 0.1

PHP is not better but if your are not working full time, you can easily get gigs
what was the learning curve for php like?

Self tutored mostly via Udemy and Coursera courses (I mostly subscribed to the free ones) then YouTube (only go for the recent ones like 2018 upwards and the ones with the highest views) then a few borrowed courses from Computer science department while schooling in the University.

IT centres are good and maybe even faster if you do your research for the best ones and you are able to afford the tuition fees.

i leant C, from C i moved to C++(hardest programming i ever learnt, i leant it for 4 years and became so good in it), then i came across java, i loved the simpler syntax, the vast libraries, as in any problem you want to solve already had a library that had solved it already for you, so u only need to add the library to ur source code, i loved the GUI frame works(swing and javafx), all these beauty was seriously lacking in C++, so i dumped c++ and entered java, i learnt almost all there is to learn, and it was fun, so fun and easy, i couldnt believe programming could be this easy considering the fact i came from a c++ background, my major challenge was learning the spring api, it looked too complicated, Along the line, i met python, i couldnt believe you could accomplish so much with just few lines of code, i mean, what you have do with 60 lines of code in java, you could do it with only 20 lines of code in python, python was way more powerful, so i dumped java and started leaning python, along d line my laptop spoilt, right now ive forgotten how to write a single line of code in any language as i havnt coded in two years
