But why should schools remain closed while every other sector of the economy is open. Even US with their high cases and death, the first thing they did last year after the lockdown was open schools. And this is a country where kids can learn virtually oh. Unlike in Nigeria. |

KillerBeauty:some reopened September/october only to close down again. While the ones that didn't reopen continued with e-learning. Harvard and Cambridge? even said no physical class till early this year but now they might have to extend that. |

Aside from the fact that playing with people education is tantamount to playing with fire that might consume the whole country in the future, its is a bad omen for our Country. Just like many social commentators have said it's the reason for insecurity in the northern part of Nigeria, we are preparing to face the music in the future. People aslo forget to acknowledge the fact that many citizen's means of livelihoods depend on education, formally or otherwise. Education sector is the highest employer of labour in this country. Several millions of people are plunged into poverty through the continual close down of education sector. I think it sì a right decision to open education sector since COVID-19 is not going to cease to exist anytime soon. We have to move on with new normal joor. |
