1) Insurgence in the NE -a.k.a. Boko Haram terrorism.
2) Biafran war instigated by northern ethno-religious violence.

If your assertions were true; pls can you explain how could have boko haram activity (that is totally confined in the north) held back progress in the south, particularly in the SE (since by all indications you are Igbo); how has it stopped your governors & LG chairmen from developing your states, held back your industries, jobs, education or even political aspirations as Nigerians?

Under Ihejirika as defence chief there was massive extrajudicial killings and maltreatment of innocent civilians to the extent that it was condemned and reported by the UNCHR which in turn prompted America & Europe to deny Nigeria access to buy their weapons to prosecute the war against Boko Haram.

It was a lie that northerners caused his sacking; this much was publicly debunked by GEJ himself.

Oh yes, kindly remind us how northerners have put Nigeria on the map in terms their numbers are populating international prisons, including death rows for crimes such as drug and human trafficking, prostitution, gangsterism, robbery, internet crime and other frauds - to the extent that even low economic countries such as Togo, Cote D'ivoire, Ghana where every Nigerian is seen as a potential criminal; not to mention South Africa, Europe & America where they are being chased and hunted like animals for one reason or another - causing the Nigerian passport to be one of the least respected in the diaspora.

On the home front, they are not left behind in bringing more shame not only for the reasons but for even worse, such as Cannibalism, ritualism, baby factories, witch hunting, Osu cast system etc.
