Its unfortunate the extent people can go but I can't help but notice someone say the child was finding it had to adjust to poverty.
In sane climes government will do the kidnapping legally and send them to those that can take care of them.
Why give birth to those you can't take care of.
You are absolutely correct. If a child is been maltreated or not properly taken care of, the government takes the child to a foster homes and to new parents.
Though this one done here is illegal.
Those kids may retrace their steps down south later on after tasting a better life

Many of the posters are justifying kidnapping because 'they had a better life down Southh'

That's the problem I have with Nigerians. They like justifying evil.

I guess for the people defending the kidnapping of the children, if you think you are 'defending' your tribe, you are doing the opposite. You are making yourselves look evil.

When a northerner can't Cather for his child we know the ready army where that child absolves into.

Same Boko Haram army and bandits that becomes a thorn in every regions flesh

“For now, one major issue has to do with our ability to sustain the lifestyle he was introduced to. We are poor and can’t seem to meet up. But we are trying to do our best,’’ he said.

That's like Canadians kidnapping Nigerians and taking them to Ontario for a better life... grin
Now the children will not know how they almost lived a proper life with a better and humane orientation... they will come to regret later embarassed...

Note,I am a Northerner,but trained in Southern Nigeria,precisely Delta/Rivers State.

That was never an abduction, they bettered their lives down south. Now that they've returned to their nemesis, they should shut up and live on.
what is bad is bad, stop promoting crime.

Are there no poor kids in the south whose lives can be bettered instead of this forceful & secret life betterment scheme?

Sad. But who wants to adopt an almajiri?
They are who they are because of the system over here, give them good life, then you will see the Almagirism in them will fly away more than the Supreme Court Governor and Mr Presidency Pigeons!

Stop justifying crime, it is bad. There was an exchange of money from the person who brought them to the east. The person is a criminal and the buyer. Maybe you want such to happen to your children

Abeg, Ese was a minor, and her boyfriend was and is guilty of not only taking her against her parent's wishes, but also guilty of pedophilia...since she is a minor by the law, and Yunusa was an adult. Yes, an adult who was in his early twenties, but an adult nevertheless.

Bot cases were wrong. If this was America, Yunusa would have been in jail. For a long time...plus he would have been on the sex offenders list for life.

Yes thats it, he has been in jail since then, Abu u don't know about his fate?

Pls are those kids adults?
Are there abductors minors? Is same case all those kids are minors and abductors adults, so why are they not in jail but in and out of police stations ? Lets say the truth don't b tribalistc

Its wrong to forcefully or illegally take away children from their parents whether you are taking them to heaven or going to give them better life than their parent could afford. just imagine the trauma the families went through
