Don't mind them! all our useless leaders just travel abroad to spend money and flex themselves but never took the time to learn the governing pattern and policy of the country they travel to undecided

The NIN is for all citizens of Nigeria and all legal residents in Nigeria.

The NIN number issued to these diplomats will be same as that already being issued to foreigners with regular and long term attachment to Nigeria.

The NIN they get is under a clearly defined foreign subsection and does not entitle them to a Nigeria passport or citizenship. The NIN is a good initiative overall and we will begin seeing and reaping it's benefit in the near future.

My brother the assumption of the average Nigerian that he is too smart has made many thoroughly ignorant. When you expose their ignorance they become defensively aggressive and insulting.

How can he not know that foreigners should be under alien residents category? You don't have to have lived abroad to know some fundamental stuff. Especially those parading tertiary institution certificates.

I won't as an employer engage such a person with so little idea about how the society works. Not well rounded enough.

This present dispensation is recording the highest rate of unemployment, despite the trillions of naira budget, it doesn't translate to growth and development, yet some fools say they are fighting corruption,

Their Cerpac has identification numbers. You still want them to get NIN which is meant for Nigerians. Which means they have 2 different identification numbers. Dafts.

I work and live in Italy, we are issued codice fisicale and carta d'identita for every legal resident.

NIN, BVN, Driver license and others are just meaningless if we fail to change our directions as a country. I just see this as means to reap off the masses of our daily sustainable nothing more. Finger crossed, we shall see how relevant this is compare to BVN

BVN is optional for those who wants to have bank account but NIN is defined in the act that established the agency and I quote as he quoted which you could neither see nor comprehend, “It is mandatory for all other lawful residents in the country as stated in Section 16 of the National Identity Management Commission Act 2007.
“The Law has made it mandatory for Nigerians and legal residents to obtain a NIN since 2007. However, compliance has been low, until recently.”
