rontolo: You have solid points.I quite agree with you. We aren't technologically at par with the US army...little wonder they are one of the best trained in the world! As for BH,they would have been long forgotten if not for some reasons hidden from the public . |

IamAtikulate: US invasion of Afghanistan In response to the September 11, 2001, attacks on the US that killed about 3,000 people, then-President George W Bush ordered an invasion of Afghanistan. Soon after, US-led forces toppled the Taliban which was in power since 1996. More than 1,000 US soldiers were on the ground at the time, with numbers growing and reaching up to more than 10,000 soldiers by December 2003. Source: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/9/12/from-the-2001-fall-of-the-taliban-to-2020-afghan-peace-talks You can see that the combat operations against the talibans in Afghanistan was a response to an attack lauched against the US on 11/09/2001 |

Jomjom056:Nobody doubts that. USA invaded Afghan, but USA was never in a state of war against Afghan. |

NGpatriot:Go school, you no gree. War (call to arms) is a broad term and it is different from state of war. In a state of war, the president has emergency power and has full authorization of the state to use the military might of the country, not pockets of soldiers. In a state of war, the president has the power to federalize the National Guard. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declaration_of_war The war against terror is a global campaign against terrorists not a USA war. USA only led the campaign. USA involvement in Afghan is known as USA Intervention in Afghan. You can be at war not in a state of war. |

IamAtikulate: US is not in a state of war in Afghanistan, but they signed peace deal to end the war? So, what war are they trying to end in Afghanistan? You mean you know nothing joker know more than the American government itself? Ignorance is indeed a disease.

NGpatriot:Imagine telling the USA what it means for them to be at war? Yoruba people need help. It seems you are equating War in Afghanistan to USA being in a state of war with Afghan. Go and study about Operation Enduring Freedom, USA campaign in Afghan. WiA has been an ongoing operation even before USA invasion. OEF is USA punitive intervention in that conflict and it won and has since closed the operation. Ongoing WiA is presently led by NATO and USA as a NATO member has troops on ground which Trump is presenting withdrawing. USA is not in a state of war with Afghan. Afghan is USA ally. Afghan is in a state of war with Taliban and USA is providing support to its ally. USA involvement in Afghan is just a segment of the Global War on Terror. USA operation is not limited to just Afghan, it is a world wide operation. They are all NATO operations. |

willybaby: while i don't see US Army as invincible, your analysis is not holistic. Modern Warfares are won by technology. over 90% of tools used by NA are purchased. With ordinary sanctions and bullying, the us would crumble the country. I don't think there is any country would want to sell arms to Nigeria while she is at war WITH USA. That's if we even have money to pay. 90% of our narional revenue comes from oil. No single oil would leave this country during such time.. Welfare. Nigeria soldiers are paid an average of 60k. They buy their own kits. retraining is almost none existent. 4 months after a soldier's demise, the family is kicked out of the barracks. No food for them. rhey feed from their meager 60k. In 2009 when Boko Haram started most young officers don't know what an IED was. No combat experience. The set that fought 1970 war are all gone out of the military. 2 Likes |

Oblongata: This nonsense bragging is the reason why the country in one of worst in the world. There was never any glory day. It has been steady deterioration from what Oyinbo left. An army that threatens to rape women; is that one an Army? |

Alex9999: Fighting associated with Boko Haram killed 6,347 civilians in 2014 In 2014 alone, BH killed over 6,000 Nigerians when Jona let BH run amok. What's the number today? Shows you how much we've curtailed and confine BH. BH used to set off bombs everyday, the send out suicide bombers everyday to blow up markets and even mosques, the used to set off bombs even in Abuja, they took control of nearly the whole of Borno state with their flags flying everywhere, but you don't see all that anymore, they just exploit soft targets and play hide and seek. Terrorists are not at your doorsteps because our brave men and women are sacrificing their lives to make sure they don't show up at your door. Find a better negative narratives to spin. |

NGpatriot: The US Army will take over Sambisa in a week. As a comparison, even with an Iraqi Army superior to Nigeria's, Baghdad was taken in a week. Please check this out before responding. |

NGpatriot:for you to stick to this mentality means u are already been brainwashed beyound redemption or u are just a heartless and brainless buhari supporter Jonathan was very clueless,he thought that by doing and playing politics to favor the north he would come back for a second term and make the northern cabals his friends but he was disappointed and totally destroyed. Jonathan sacked gen iherjirika that kept Bokoharam on their heels and choose to play Politics with bokoharam, before he left the final 2 weeks in office the mercenaries he brought in totally dismantled Bokoharam, pressmen where reporting live from gwoza, mubi and other areas that where liberated and a week before he handed over there was no bomb blast.why did your evil buhari drove the mecenaries that had already cutailed Bokoharam away, because he felt bad that his brothers are been killed hence the tempo had to change.bokoharam regained tempo the moment buhari became president.so stop this rubbish talk of buhari stopped suicide bombings because buhari is a bloody terrorists and numbers of people that died in his cursed reign had trippled or quadrupled. buhari is a Diseaster |
