Waste of money.

Why can't Nigerian leaders ask for God's wisdom and a great mind of discernment to lead Nigerians to prosperity.

China didn't start with all this frivolities in the 50s - 60s when they were laying foundation for their economic growth. China started with building their small scale businesses, supporting them with grants until they grown into big industries. Today China has enough money to build any stadium of their dream, build any kind of structures they want, even loans out money to countries.

Why can't Oti do like China, use that billions for stadium, share it to small scale manufacturers inform of grant/interest free loans to support them to produce more, employ more workers/creating jobs.

I love the way Otti adopted Peter Obi's ANIDS legacy (Integrated development strategy) into Abia state.
A legacy that would have turned around this country if introduced at the national level.

How is it waste of money in a state that have two top league clubs like Enyimba FC and Abia Wariors? Do you know that Enyimba host most of theır international matches in Uyo instead of Aba? Abia state in for all round development.

Avoid distractions

Do not give them attention

Some people only want attention

So they say things that would make u engage them

Avoid the temptation of giving them that engagement and see them fizzle out.

Do with information as you see fit

Kudos to Abia state govt, happy that he is representing Labour party well

How is it waste of money?

Do you know the type of investment sports can bring to a state?

Abia has 2 clubs who consistently perform at CAF level.

Akwa Ibom has got tourist investments today because of God's will Akpabio stadium. This means that Abia is going to be one of the top destinations for international competitions like afcon qualifiers or friendlies. It also means that Abia will be one of the top destinations for any international game like all African games or afcon if Nigeria will host it.

Nigeria does not have enough standard stadiums, if Abia can pull this off, coupled with Abuja and Akwa Ibom stadium then we can contend for Afcon hosting with out full chest. We can then do little rehabilitation on Lagos, Kano and Calabar. We don't host afcon be that

If Abia must attend the status of a first class state in Nigeria, it needs first infrastructure all rounder including sports

What happened to Enyimba's stadium? They should be managing it, or he simply upgrade it instead of wasting about 30-50 billion naira building another FIFA grade stadium.

Do you know what 10 million naira × 3000 shoe manufacturers can do for Aba and Abia state economy in 4-8yrs time + the jobs it will create?

Sports is big business, Aba needs a super stadium for Enyimba and all the other sports outfits for their youths to keep their selves occupied in sports business.

The issue is: is this stadium a sustainable project?

What is the plan for it 5, 10, 15 years from now?

Will it still be in use, paying for itself, or will it be overgrown with weeds? undecided

This country has several projects like these. Stadia. Airports. Built by both the centre and the states. Today they are dead white elephants.

What is Abia's plan for this project years from now?
