I mean I hope you guys don't find this offensive but this is the truth, I m not Nigerian I m Tunisian and we had similar problems in the 2013 until 2015
it was chaotic in Tunisia after the revolution thousands of Afghanistan, Chechnya, Iraq and even Somalia AQMI veterans (terrorists) were all set free in an amnesty after years of prison thinking that they did not have fair trials during the dictatorship of Ben Ali but soon they proved to be a huge danger and formed armed groups using weapons smuggled from a civil war torn Libya... they attacked army bases in the mountains and slaughtered a good number of bad equipped/trained and very marginalized Tunisian army soldiers (because Ben Ali feared a coup d'état he neglected and defunded the army) and they literally took the mountains to themselves a lot of unnecessary casualties among the Tunisian armed forces mainly due to land mines and ambushes deep in the mountains... so an ambitious plan to modernize the army occurred first they got new Mraps which I don't think the NAF lacks
improved drastically the training (with all the NATO nations and neighboring countries who have exp with these type of wars such as Algeria) increased the number of exercises formed new special forces groups and even new army Battalions improved recons (new helis and drones and recon units )and medevac ofc also improved personal equipment until TAF soldiers became one of the best equipped army in North Africa and in just 2 years the Tunisian army turned from defense to offense and AQMI/ISIS from hundreds of terrorists to less than twenty now still struggle and getting constantly ambushed and never been able to manage a single attack... the situation in the mountains was a shit show but TAF learned quickly from their mistakes and adapted by addressing the issues and solving them... unlike Nigeria Tunisia was surrounded by 2 terrorist groups AQMI/ISIS in the western mountains and ISIS in the eastern front in Libya.

Your guys LEARNED and changed their tactics accordingly. BH has been fighting since 2012 and we're still waiting to see the operational and equipment improvements in the field. The new Indig MRAPs are good but much MUCH more still needs to be done. The Generals, fighting men and even forumers know- but we're still waiting. After all this time!?

With the recent offensive I would expect NAF to begin as a matter of urgency quick fire drills on base protection in Borno, Yola and Zamfara.

SF forces and QRF need to practice base defence as often as possible to ensure any terrorist adventurism is decisively squashed.

ACTUALLY that's not their role. Base defence is a responsibility of infantry. SF are properly used for intel, covert ops, targeted CT strikes, hostage rescue etc, etc.

This is one of the very few times I'm seeing photos from Algerian army exercises, mostly videos are released.

Also Egypt almost never releases Pictures only videos any reason why this is the case in North Africa?

for algerian army they have there own communication service . and they release a monthly TV report on national TV . thats why we got nice official videos . and most nice pics you see are from these tv reports .

there is also official pics released but they are published on a monthly magazine only distributed in military barracks and not for the general public . thats why its difficult to get them .

for egypt dont know but they have also a strong communication service and also released many tv reports on there national and private TV .

what i like the most when i see these t90 blitz attack exercise , is the accuracy of shots while moving at high speed . most tanks need to mive very slowly to fire with good accuracy

Watch from the start to the end. It was really satisfying.

Is the mortar system new?

It looks like a Chinese platform.

I prefer the VT4 we have, we just need like 200 more units, but the T-90 is impressive though.

I agree, that was impressive.

Although I didn't see the use of drones in this exercise.

Also defence against UCAV, how do you counter them, defend against them.

Armenia was completely wrecked with drones, if you see the recent Iranian army exercise and their implementation of loitering swarm kamakazi drones, you can clearly see how effective drones are.

This is new to the inventory of the NA, BIDEXXI did the NA acquire this recently ? Normally the NA acquire their Sniper Rifles from Russia, US.

Electronic warfare, EMP guns e.t.c, watch drones fall from the sky.

The vehicles can defend themselves well if under attack.

Nice!!

We've not even finished using the ones we have why get from outside?

We have a lot of MI24/35. We're not even using up to half in the north east.

The MI-35M is the Game changer by making it difficult for Boko Haram to launch night attacks and it seems the accuracy of the MI-35M differentiate it from other variants. The Super Tucano, JF-17 thunder ⚡ and UCAV will soon make their own contributions.

we have only 5 mi-35m two is at Maiduguri one I'm sure is In Zamfara we lost one in Damask the other one is on rotation.
Our Mi-24 are to undergo maintenance all of them so they're not active at the moment.

I don't have info about how the were distributed but I believe we received 6 remaining 6 MI-35M.
We lost 1 which means we have 5 left. 3 of them can still be in Borno and two supporting in other areas.

All of them?
This your information is hard to believe o.

The Mi24 in use in Kaduna in not part of the new MI-35M even the one in port-harcourt.

no we actually received 5 not six the first two in 2016 if I'm not mistaking the other two in 2018 the one which was spotted in Russia.it was even in one of NAF budget I think the Helo came but was announced publicly.its even in the banner NAF displayed during The Mi-17 induction.
The Mi-24Vs in pH aren't active..
I'm sure one mi-24v is supposed to be in the NE
The Helo in KD is a mi-35p
