Back up ur chat to ur email or gmail.. Then open WhatsApp in the new device register the number and wait for it to look up ur back up. It will restore ur backup from ur email to ur new device

We are talking about migration between 2 different mobile phone OS here. Have you tried that @Nobtee?

Back up ur chat to ur email or gmail.. Then open WhatsApp in the new device register the number and wait for it to look up ur back up. It will restore ur backup from ur email to ur new device

I don't think chat backup from one platform to another(iOS to Android) is possible (yet).

if you really need your chats just export them to your email and start afresh.

How does WhatsApp backup to your iCloud? Is it the same format as how it backs up on Google drive on Android? Without having tried this, you could backup to your Google drive on your Android then copy the backup to your icloud and see if whatsapp will recognise the file as a valid backup
