This is Called BLACK MAMBA, u can confirmed that by opening the mouth, which is always black. if not, then is a SPITING COBRA. Because not all black Mamba's are black. Thanks for SNAKE IN THE CITY, NAT-GEO, GOtv. is always one of my favorite show.

First thing first, black mambas are not found in Nigeria. Secondly, black msmba is not actually black, it is greyish in color. It is the mouth that is black.

Better known as forest cobra. Mostly found in Africa. This is quite different from the Mozambique cobra and the king cobra found in Asia.
This one look very much like the cobra.
In Nigeria, we should be worried about two species of snake..1.) Cobra.. 2 ) viper.
The cobra should be feared more because it is more aggressive and roams more than the viper though both are highly lethal.

You are right about it spitting! Cobras are the snakes that spits...and very accurately too.
