We're talking about black clover? Nice, I have many things to say about it.

BC is the type that keeps on getting better and better after every arc, the first few arcs were just introducing characters, world building and setting up bigger things for the latter part of the Elf Saga. Looking back, it's a well planned saga with good foreshadowing from the very first chapter.


After experiencing Black Clover in both the manga(latest) and anime(up to episode 107) I'm happy I got into it through the manga, the manga is beautifully drawn and goes straight to the point with few character gags. I started the anime recently and it's a step down, the animation is below average most of the time save for some hype moments every 10 episodes and character gags are overused, it's a step down and I can definitely see why it makes Black Clover look bad to some people but that doesn't mean it's bad, some scenes were expanded in the anime and made infinitely better than the manga like Yuno and Asta vs Licht(find it on youtube, it's seriously one of the best animated anime fights)

The only similarity to Naruto I see is Asta's goal of becoming the wizard king, the high fantasy setting reminds me of Berserk of all things, my disappointment with BC is that it doesn't utilise this setting fully for exploration type stuff like One Piece but it's a battle manga so fighting comes first I wish BC had more adventure

Something I really like about it is the versatile magic system that evolves on an individual level, everybody has room for growth with even the "weakest" of magic and can become OP in their own specific way through their own efforts, the elemental theme also opens up a system of counters and weaknesses that has been utilised fairly well.

This magic system synchronises perfectly with the team battles that take place, three tier 3 characters working together multiply their effectiveness in battle and can take down vastly stronger characters depending on how well their strategy works. This is something Black Clover exceeds at, the teamwork is spectacular.

I'm tired of writing

Black Clover was better than I expected, especially after all the negative things I read on the internet when the anime first came out, it's actually good.

Has anyone here read White Angels Have No Wings?

After reading Her Shim-Cheong and the works of Ratana Satis earlier in 2020, I was open to discovering more Yuri manhwa when I found this. The description told me it was about a bullied girl in a Catholic school falling in love with the albino girl who stood up to her bullies.

What made actually start reading it was the 'psychological' tag it was given. So naturally, I went in expecting a normal highschool Yuri manhwa with some darker themes. What I got was a full-blown psychological journey.

Now, from the first chapter I could already see that something was off but I never expected things to spiral out of control so bad.

The description doesn't even cover the half of it.

Moving on to the sequel, White Angels Have No Rest, I thought I already knew what to expect. Somehow though, it managed to crank the insanity up to 11. It's adults-only plot allowed to go even beyond the original, taking the story from psychological drama to erotic psych thriller.

While the writing isn't as crisp as the first story, it tries to make up by hamming up the plot, increasing the edgy-ness. It's definitely... different. Not far worse than the original, but a whole other experience.

I definitely recommend that you guys try reading the first one whether you're a fan of the Yuri genre or not. As long as you like stories that keep you guessing and morally ambiguous characters, you should probably find this one interesting.

None them appear in the second story, unfortunately. I would've liked to see how they moved on after the events of the first book. However, Aeon was never really the protagonist of the first book.

I wanted to see the albinos reaction at seeing aeon again, it is my belief that she was the only one that the albino loved genuinely, besides the psychopathic love that she has for her sister.

I don't think Yeonhwa is capable of love as we know it. She has all the traits of a complete sociopath. It's quite clear that she is missing something fundamental in her mind. No matter how much she tries to change, she can never see her partners as anything more than pairings to manipulate and toy with.

People with antisocial personality disorder are just built different. Yeonhwa never loved Aeon or even her sister.
Her relationship with Aeon would've ended with either Aeon leaving her or Yeonhwa growing tired and moving on like she did with the others.
