But having said that, the problem with labelling situations like this 'Sharia law' is basically overexaggeration. It also gives the idea that only those of the Muslim faith support modest dressing, and also gives the idea that dressing properly...ie wearing corporate or a proper skirt and blouse means you are observing Sharia law...or something.

The truth is, we Nigerians ought sometimes to dress modestly. Saying that does not mean I want you to bow to your new Saudi overlords or something.

Mark Zuckerberg is clearly wearing a t-shirt, long pants, and I'm guessing shoes - not a vest and slippers. Again I repeat, even female Staff are not allowed to wear their slippers into the building - they are denied entry until they wear proper shoes. define irresponsible dressing. So until I wear your kaftan or hijab ( even with nothing under) is termed correct dressing.lets know if Nigeria is a religiously ran country or a secular one. In abuja if you don't put on their kaftan ,you are automatically seen as an outsider. If Nigeria is secular and I can choose to put on whatever I have as long as am not naked. The point is moderation. A white man would put on shorts even in the presence of a minister,if a fellow black does that it is seen as an affront.
