He's got the mindset of a fulani herdsman. To him, everything is by force by fire and no regard for rule of law and due process. I'm ashamed to call him my president . |

Appointment of service chiefs is a discretionary and doesn't require the assent of National Assembly. The president is commander in chief of the Armed Forces and can appoint his representatives in the various arms of the military. Updated All you ranting in my mention on this ought to realize that the 1999 constitution is highly flawed. Requiring the president to present to Senate nominees for the position of Service Chiefs is highly flawed. The Senate have little knowledge as to why and how the Service Chiefs are appointed. For example, what happens if the Senate rejects the Service Chiefs' nominated? What would be their reason for rejecting them and or how would they propose replacements? These are salient areas the Senate cannot working on. You don't have to rain insults to make your comment if you're intelligent and want to enage in intelligent discourse. |

Only a president that operates above the rule of law would make appointments without senate confirmation. |

helinues:You're deleterious and baneful. How can a sane person defend, breaking the law? It takes only a deranged fellow to be happy with such developments. I wouldn't know how much you're paid to support evil on the daily, how do you sleep defending demons, yet you pray. Even in cult following brains aren't lost. |

Liposure:Did you read that that has been the practice from 1999 but was challenged in court by Keyamo and the judgment was delivered by Justice Adamu Bello on July 2, 2013? |

If the court ruling goes against what the constitution says about the appointment of service chiefs, the constitutional provision is adhered to. No brainer. There are so many precedents. |

Vistra40:Kindly follow the context of the discussion and read carefully. I didn't say because "others did it wrongly it justifies him going the same route." I only pointed out that fact because of the statement that suggests it's only this Administration that has done that. Thank you. |
